I guess we are not the only one with kicking problems. Jets kicker just missed two extra points. All in saying is it’s not going to be pretty if we are going to rely on Boswell and apparently rly our new special teams coach Suisham.

Boz had 4 game winners last year. He sucks this year...but prior to this season he had been great. The staff probably held on too long waiting for him to turn it around. Not a good look to throw a previously dependable vet under the bus at the first sign of trouble, imho.

First hint of trouble ? The POS has cost us 3 games this year.

The problem with kickers is the movement on the ball. I always liken the whole thing to golf. There was a time when even pro golfers more or less played the ball straight now they virtually never do. Which I'd great when things are working the way you want. But any problems with the way you hit it and you have a monster problem. There really is no excuse for missing PATS. That's high school range. Just hit the ****** thing straight.

Wait, I thought it was Tomlin and his cast of clown coaches tearing this team down.

Make up your mind Hyperbole Man.

You mean the dumbass Tomlin who stupidly kept Boiz around ? He has a myriad of problems but I'll wait for you to go look up the word.

3 losses in a row, soon to be 5 so **** Tomlin, and his entire ****** coaching staff.

God, I miss the days when trolls were at least entertaining.

The Steelers CAN NOT rely on coaching, defense or the kicking game to give them an edge in the playoffs. On the contrary, they are a burden. Ben must be lights out vs. this Triple Yahtzee of problems. The good news is two of them can be fixed is Rooney wants to make a change quickly.

What now with Boz?? Will they keep him? Im guessing they will. I wouldnt.

i wouldn't cut him, but i would sit him and bring in another kicker. If he sucks next preason / camp then bye bye

He will be your KICKR through this season and then get a "FAIR" shake or boot, depending on performance through the pre-season.
CAP $$$$ will keep him this year. I'm all for bringing Sushi and another kicker in for phcyalogical help this week again............

Literally no idea what to do with him. I gave him zero chance of hitting the one he did, but he totally ****** them with the chip shot miss plus his PATs still damn near miss. You gotta bring someone in. I think they gotta bring someone in.

A kicker with the yipes is like a thoroughbred with a broken leg. Its ******. I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone work their way out of it. Truth is that when you cut Gilbert you are getting Boz's money back. If you can find a way to keep him on the roster and bring him to camp next year ok. Hell you could make a handshake deal. We are going to cut you. No one is going to take him. We will give you your million dollar a season salary if you make the team next year.

NOT sure they are cutting GILBERT but BOZ needs something. His cap HIT won't allow a cut this year (maybe) but with CMVLT going against all past coaching examples, you never know what will happen.

Boz is historically bad this year. Like quite possibly the worst in history if he misses a few more. He gets to kick inside next week. That better help him

If the money is a concern cut the guy you brought in for Connor, cut Banner and resign him to PS if you can and deactivate Boz on game days for 2 weeks and possibly playoffs if you make.

They want Boz to succeed. They also don't want to eat $4.9M in cap space. Not when they're also highly likely going to cut Gilbert after this year and pick up another $5M in cap space on top of the 8 for Shazier, 14.5 for Bell, dead money and a salary cap bump. We're looking at $30+M in cap space next year with a chance to make a splash signing for the first time in a long time, excluding Haden falling in our laps.
