Why should they treat this year like every other year?

Ben is the best QB the Steeler ever had is nearing the end.

Yeah I am well versed in the Steeler way, but that outdated way will have us talking about falling short again.

And then Ben will retire then good luck snifffing the SB for a while after that.

Hey now, they drafted RUDY at ILB.. Er, Tyler Matakevich,

Timmons was vastly overpaid, but he is durable and does the tough work Shazier often does not.

I hope Timmons gives the Steelers a hometown discount, but he went to Florida State, so in his mind, he might take the money and go home.

The depth on our D at DL, ILB, OLB, and DB rather thin.

Timmons is gone Coach. He signed for two years with the Phins.
Steelers must have a plan and surely aren't pining all their hopes on Williams.

Didn't think the Steelers would pony up for Donta so maybe my man Kevin Minter. Wonder what Kevin's asking price is? Young and athletic. Would be I think an upgrade for us.

Take out the vastly maybe but I would beg to differ about the overpaid part. It wasn't his fault that the team restructured him a coupleathree times maybe but $8.7M for 2016 and a $15 cap hit ain't chump change. Bad part is his dead money too. LT was a good dependable player for us but it was time to evaluate his perfotmance VS salary if ya axe me. jus sayin.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Sean Spence come back to us and/or Garvin. Good luck to Timmons though....his durability was pretty amazing.

I would disagree with overpaid. His cap hit sucked, but I'm talking his actual pay over his service wasn't IMO, excessive. My real quibble is, indeed, with "vastly".

Question... What does Timmons (and Wheaton) do for us next year in the Compensatory Pick process... they were round one and round three players?

Or in 2017, is it? Every year I need to remind myself of the current cap and the average NFL salary. I can't believe the NFL bubble hasn't burst.

that's 3 more millions in total and 5 M more in guaranteed money than I was hoping to keep him. Good riddance, thanks for always being a professional and a hard worker.

We need to use Heyward-hargrave-tuitt on the line, we have to have some size to push the pocket, leave Harrison and Dupree in to rush the qb like DE's, then Shazier at ILB, and 5 DB's.
