Had Patagonia used the money to buy back stock or pay executive bonuses, I’d see the hypocrisy. What they did was call the tax breaks irresponsible and donated theirs to a cause they believe will benefit everyone.

I honestly have no issue with how they spend their $10 million 'windfall' -- but maybe they could have spent some money on their employees in the form of year-end bonuses, and only donated $7-8 million. It's not an all-or-nothing game.

come on, BAS. these people live in Californiastan and need their elected officials to tell them how to spend their money wisely.
Their employees are ONLY working for the common good and would work for free if asked to do so.

no idea how they'd feed themselves. or buy clothes. or pay property taxes. or car taxes. or buy gas for their car. or pay for their homes to have electricity. or pay for running water in the houses which they somehow can afford. the point being is the elected officials and any cockamamie scheme are blowing valiant dog whistles for their plebes.

But liberals are saying there is no cause more worthy or necessary than the government having that tax money, hence their screaching about us not being able to "pay for" the tax cuts. If you believe that then it’s irrelevant what is done with the money if it goes anywhere other than the government’s slush fund.

This proves liberals are just fine with the government not getting their cut so long as you spend the money on some other form of socialist magic beans.
