Look on the bright side

Bengals will still have a better record then coach .500 this year.

I have lost all confidence in this coaching staff. Preseason means nothing. Like a group of big kids stealing candy from 3rd graders at Halloween.

Yeah I saw that. I feel better now. Kinda..haha. Actually a lot of quarterbacks played like *** today. It was sloppy.

one loss to start the season means nothing.....

The I 40 bridge over the Mississippi would be a scary one to jump from.
 
Don’t get too down here boys. We lost to one of the top two three teams in the NFL. It stings and everything looks bad but it will get better. This team needed a shot of reality and to be brought back down to earth after all this pre season bs.
Never, ever buy into the pre season. I stopped that years ago. The Steelers are not as bad as we saw today and certainly nowhere near what we saw in preseason. Realistically probably at best 10-7 but more probable 9-8.
Relax, next week will be better. Bungals and Chiefs are also 0-1.
 
I think alot of us including myself fell into the pre-season trap. They looked so good it was hard not to get super-hyped. If they looked just meh in the pre-season i think this loss would have been much easier to process. Now we are back to reality so expectations are tempered.

I fell into the solid draft and solid depth additions but started to fall back to earth with the OC and DC being retained.

Now I am painfully seeing this is just another mediocre installment of 1 or 2 wins over .500 and a first round playoff loss if that.

I just wonder how many seasons of lowering those ceiling of expectations until the roof collapses.

So time for the substandard standard of enjoying the wins but not expecting much beyond that.

Purdy is probably going to come back to earth sooner or later… mccaffery will get dinged up, then teams are going to take away those middle crossing routes and force him to make outside throws…he plays in the most qb friendly system in the league…
Burrow will rebound probably next week…
Pickett is still a total unknown…

Pickett is hesitant. As much as I blame Canada, Pickett had guys open and he didn’t see it.
