“[Pete Carroll is] a different guy,” Bush said. “I walked into his office, and he had the music playing, he had the pictures up, you know he’s watching film, I just got the feel that he is dedicated. He’s all in and doesn’t think about nothing else but Seattle Seahawks and winning. If he puts that much time and energy into his work, I have to match him.”

Devin Bush was given every opportunity to succeed in Pittsburgh until almost the very bitter end. As a former top ten overall pick, he should have enough time, energy, and dedication of his own without having to emulate a 71-year-old head coach.

I saw a video of Bush doing drills with no shirt on and dude has no muscle tone. I couldn’t believe he was that in-ripped. He was the LB version of Mac Jones. You’d think being a pro LB he’d run about 7% body fat, but he was definitely anove 15%. It just goes into how un-dedicated he was to his craft. He has only himself to blame. As a 1st round pick that we traded up for, it was extra important that he was successful so we didn’t appear to make a bad pick, but this clown simply didn’t have that killer instinct and desire to be the best. It’s a damn shame, but it’s the truth

There is just a bunch of male soap opera in the NFL with this much information. Match it Devin. Live at the facility. Is that going to make you 3 inches taller and have instincts. Look buddy is as big a Seahawks fan as I'm a Steelers. Bush is a backup there. And unless someone gets hurt it's bench and maybe sp. Teams.

Do you realize how dry your eyes get and how much they burn when you're not allowed to blink? Anyone would be missing tackles playing like that. I bet the first thing Mr Bush noticed was how much his new coach was blinking.

Glad that guy is gone. He was a detriment to the team on the field.

The team gave up a lot to draft this clown. They drafted a stick of butter not a linebacker. Good riddance.

I saw where he had no idea why the Steelers didn't pick up his 5th-year option. Is the dude seriously that stupid? I mean, maybe it's because you sucked, dude!

Shoot the lights out Devin?

You'll shoot your eye out kid. Buh bye.

He came out his rookie year and made some plays, I thought maybe this will ease the pain of moving up for him.

Fast forward, injury, didn’t seem like he put in the extra work while rehabbing (meaning he didn’t attend as many meetings etc. as he could/should have). Calvin 3 did attend and mentally engaged, just for the record.

Shaved Bush was given more than enough playing time to try and work back into game conditions / play. He didn’t respond and out right seemed to not engage purposefully. Stood and watched.

He has only himself to blame for not making it here, ***** & moan all you want but the sharp shooter finger still point at himself.

How is he going to "shoot the lights out" when he's as soft as a spit wad.

Are you saying the bush is wet……….?

EDIT: This would be funny if he was still on the team, this entertainment will now be gone…….

He's content with taking the money and doing little for it. I hope he's invested wisely. The end of the road is in sight.

That’s the thing. The majority of the “PRO: players don’t invest properly, get taken advantage of, lose most everything with-in 5 years of retirement. They try to live the exotic life they lived while still in the lime-light.

Obviously there are exceptions to the rule, but not as many as you’d think.

I could care less for their well being considering their high dollar pay. If they fail it is on them, not society to bail them out.

So... Bush's departure reminds me of another former Pittsburgh LB, drafted by the Steelers, spent his first 4 years here, then left for the Seahawks in free agency:

The circumstances of both departures are different, but what speaks to me are the distinctly different attitudes towards their former team.

He was a punk from day 1. He felt entitled because he was a first round pick. I'm glad he is gone. We need a linebacker that engages and finishes plays. He intentionally washed himself out of plays to avoid contact. *****!

The only comparison between the two is they both left for Seattle. Brown was an all pro who could play inside or outside and only left because they were stocked with talent at LB. Hated to see him go but there was only so much money to go around. Bush was let go from a squad that was mediocre at best and the team is better for it. Bush reminds me of Jarvis not Brown.

Bushy, Uncle Jarvis, Artie Burns Toast, Terrell Edmunds, all have have one thing in common. Huge draft day overreachs that were drafted far too soon.
The best of the bunch was Edmunds and he was ok, serviceable but nothing worthy of first round pick.
Bushy said all I needed to hear when asked about if Steelers would pick up his fifth year option when he said he’ll be playing somewhere in the league.
In it for a paycheck and will be out of the league in a season or two. He’ll get another chance because of where he was drafted.

This seems to be the trend of players leaving Pittsburgh in the last few years. He should be humble enough that he even had interest from another team. After his injury he just did not have it.

He and his wife thought Seattle had better sushi. So off they went.

My initial reaction was that Edmunds shouldn't be included. But upon further review it's all very accurate. The only guy on the list tgat pisses me off is Bush. The other guys weren't good enough to have first round grades. Bush lacks heart.
