Low end WR we could trade for

I would be trying for Sutton or Meyers at this point. Sutton would be a huge win. He is a WR1. If we could get him for a 3rd, I'd do it. He and GP along with the rest of the cast would be a huge improvement. Meyers wouldn't be bad either but Russ is very familiar with Sutton. They already have that chemistry.

I wouldn’t even put Sutton on my list. Broncos are 5-3 so to trade Sutton would be giving up on the season with a playoff caliber record. Sutton imo is a downgrade over Diontae Johnson who just was traded for 19 spots between the 6th and 5th round. Sutton is due 13.5m next year and that’s for a receiver who has 1 thousand yards season. He’s 29 and his best football is behind him.

Meyers I definitely would be interested in. Raiders are a loss away from dumping salaries and Meyers is due 11m. But at 27 going on 28 he’s a little younger and similar production. I think he can be had for a day 3 pick pretty easily come Monday.

Neither Sutton or Meyers are number 1 receivers. But both are a vast improvement over Jefferson. CA3 imo has started coming on strong as a slot receiver. So getting a good possession guy to opposite of George is all we need. A guy that knows to sit in the hole the defense creates by doubling George in the end zone for an easy td. I am curious what compensation the Steelers were willing to give for Kirk or Adams. I think that would let us know who is in the running. If it’s a day 3 pick we likely are out of Sutton or Kupp because both teams are in the thick of it and will need to be blown away to give up a good player.

Supposedly Adam Thielen is a healthy scratch today. I would pay attention there and to Cortland Sutton to see how much he plays. I’m hesitant on Thielen but if it is him, I’m ok. They could use a reliable chain mover.

Thielen seems redundant for what the Steelers have already. Maybe a little more dependable. The asking price of a second rounder (last year) for Sutton is really steep for what he brings to the table.

Suttons numbers so far this year: "29 receptions for 377 yards and two touchdowns over Denver's first eight contests of the year". Not too bad for a WR2 on our team and a WR1 on many teams.

There was talk of is maybe getting Olave but he just left the game on a stretcher with a concussion or worse. You can't make this stuff up.

Meyer has 6 catches for over 80 yards at halftime for the Raiders. His price may be going up.

He'd probably cost a good bit but that's his 2nd concussion of the year. He will probably miss multiple games so he's out if he had been in the running.

I don’t think 800 yards in a season is WR1 numbers. Decent WR2 numbers but not worth a day 1 or 2 pick. I wouldn’t give them more than a 5th and probably would make that conditional to protect from injury or him having issues picking up the system.

Meyers probably can be had for a conditional 5th.

Thielen can probably be had for a conditional 7th.

I think with Russ spreading the ball around we could be fine with a rotational WR2. But having a good possession player who has good hands and good route running would be ideal. That is why I wouldn’t want Mike Williams. He’s not a great route runner snd below average hands.

Kupp, like Adams, would have been ideal. But I think the Rams want Adams type compensation so that’s a pipe dream.

Thielen and Meyers seem to be the most likely options. Both on bad teams who will be rebuilding next year. Anyone else would shock me

Maybe not but he's their WR1 in an overall bad offense get spanked by the Ratbirds today.

Agree on Williams. I didn't realize how many drops he has. I'd pass on him based on that alone.

Since we're guessin' and speculatin'...

If the Browns lose today, and that's pretty likely based on the current score and time on the clock, I'd call 'em and offer a 3rd round pick for...
