An article surfaced about how Trump turned the prayer breakfast in to a partisan attack. I pointed out that Trump merely threw back the stones that were cast at him.

Then there was whinging about how Trump was anti-Christian and contradicted the bible. And then, I added this nugget.
"Interesting. Of course we ALL contradict the bible. We cannot live up to the expectations placed upon us. Thus the need for redemption and forgiveness. Ironically, given your extensive understanding of the bible, you are also aware of the passages that state that God himself raises leaders to their position for his own glory and purposes.
So what you really ought to take away from that is that God himself voted Trump."

A great sound of lamentation and gnashing of the teeth rose throughout the land.

Yes, making the prayer breakfast partisan is UNFORGIVABLE!!!

Black preachers spending every Sunday telling the congregation to vote (D)im? Turning the correspondent's dinner into an unwatchable ****-show? Mayor Pete telling voters that other than the anal sex with other guys, he is really religious and God's choice?

All good. Nothing to see here.

Been waiting all my life for a Republican President who hits back.

What’s really nice is he that he doesn’t just hit back, he inflicts blunt-force trauma. He counter-punches them into a bloody puddle of their own piss and vomit. And then laughs at them. I absolutely love it.

And they go batshit crazy over it. I'm shocked many demoncrats even make a prayer breakfast. They're godless heathens who champion everything evil and wicked .

As much as there are things I really don't like about Trump, this is one thing I really do. George W. Bush...a good man, by the way. who really loved this country. Yes he made some mistakes, But he is a good man with a good heart who tried to do what he thought was best for the country and the world. But George W. Bush never fought back, he took the high road always. And where did it get him? They destroyed him.

Trump may never win any popularity contests but he will not roll over and let the Dems and their minions have their way with the narrative in the interest of "dignity". It drives them batshit crazy. As much as I would love a president who is dignified and presidential, unfortunately the anti-conservative forces have necessitated this kind of response. I don't like it and wish it was different but it is necessary.

Isn't it funny how Trump can just hit a SOTU speech out of the park without resorting to attacks or petty **** though? I don't like it either, but I think Trump in his press conferences and rallies just does it to rile up the opposition. I can't imagine that he was almost perfect in his speech two nights ago -- to the rant we had today.

He baffles me sometimes, maybe more than sometimes, but the results are there and they're indisputable. And we cannot have socialism take over this country.

If there was an accurate historical analogy to biblical times, Trump would be none other than Pontius Pilate.

Not even close, Pelosi would be much more appropriate a comparison, did not want to impeach but the angry mob forced her hand even though there was no crime. The House managers would be the pharisees. We all know who Judas is in this story is Mr. Romney.

Thanks for the laugh this morning Tibs.

Who's Jesus in your analogy BTW? Hunter Biden? With Uncle Joe as God?

Who's Jesus in your analogy?
You know the answer. Jesus represents the American people, the Republic and the Constitution...which Trump and the GOP insist on crucifying, over and over. Sad and scary times, indeed.

The fact that you actually believe the Democrats have been more faithful to the Constitution compared to Republicans throughout this process is truly one of the most outrageous things you've ever said on here. So outrageous that I don't think you actually believe it. To believe that, you would have to be so completely out of touch with reality that it would be impossible to be a functional adult in your daily life. I think it's all bluff and bluster, like most Democrats that just hate Trump. I think you know that most of what you spout on here constantly is all bullshit. I think Trump has made you so enraged that he's turned you into a full time internet troll.

Tibs, what exactly is so "scary" about this situation? That Trump asked a foreign leader to investigate something? Are you afraid of what might have been discovered? Why is investigating something that clearly stinks from even a casual look at it so terrifying to you?

Are you scared of the lowest unemployment and fastest wage growth in decades? Are you scared because my 401k is growing and we might actually be able to retire one day?

What are you so scared of?

I'll tell you what scares me. The idea that someone might get elected who decides that everything we have worked for doesn't belong to us. That after we have paid a **** ton of taxes while half the country pays none, subsidized other people's health insurance with our massive premiums, subsidized other people's kids college tuition, saved for our own retirement while we pay for government employees to get pensions and healthcare for life...we are going to be told that's still not enough. That it's not fair that we should live in nice house or get to take a vacation once in awhile or be allowed to keep the money we put away over 50 years for our retirement.

That's what scares me.

You know I love and respect you Tibs. I often disagree with some of your political views, but I respect your right to have and espouse them.

However of our two statements, mine has actual scriptural backing. There is no clear and decent comparison of Trump to Pilate. And ultimately, the irony there is that Pilate isn't really the villain in the story. He was a bureaucrat with his hands tied who TRIED to get out of allowing the events to proceed. It was the Jewish aristocracy and even Jesus himself who ultimately forced the events to go forward.

NOBODY in the impeachment events was Pilate. Nobody simply washed their hands of it and stepped away.

And with a single comment at the White House, Trump essentially cemented his standing as a representative of working-class Americans.

"Russia Russia Russia. It was all Bullshit!" Pretty much EXACTLY what more than 1/2 the country has been thinking and he came out, metaphorically sat next to us, grabbed a beer and SAID it.

“God himself voted for Trump”... and Trumptards don’t understand why people think of them as a cult.

It's so funny. I would say even in this little forum probably 90% of the Trump supporters are fully aware of his flaws and point them out frequently.

What's cult-like is the raw, unbridled hatred Dems have for anyone who doesn't think and believe exactly as they do.

you have it backwards, the dems are the ones attacking the American people's Rights....

You did, of course, look at the context, yes?

According to Christian scripture, which you may or may not accept as some kind of authority, God places leaders in position at specific times, for specific reasons, all of which are ultimately designed for the betterment of humanity and to glorify God.
Thus, I tongue in cheek pointed out that this can be interpreted as stated above.

In the immortal words of Sgt. Hulka. "Lighten up Francis."

The hell they do. They acknowledge the personality flaws but not the corruption. The long list of Trump appointees and associates who have turned on him didn’t do so because they decided he was an obnoxious asshat. The Trump cult dismisses every revelation and accusation and defends Trump without question. Much like the Catholics who dismissed their children’s accusations and instead defended their priest.

LOL. The one citing scripture is telling me to lighten up.

And no, I do not accept that God put, for example, Hitler in a position of authority at a certain time. What an evangelical crock is ****!

oh suck it already. 99% of the **** thrown out against President Trump has been shown to be bullshit...

and what the **** does the Catholic church have to do with President Trump, your analogy is ******* pathetic....

you know what really makes liberal head's explode - Facts
