Tourneys start up today. Who are you rooting for? Any bubble favorites or sleepers?
 
I'd like to see Penn State get in, I think they could do some damage.

That said, I like Virginia to win it all. That team is tenacious on defense, and all the other big name teams have serious flaws.
 
Rooting for WVU.

Usually I'm rooting for Pitt but those days are gone.
 
My school's bball team is flat.
I think Mark Fox is a good coach too. Just not a basketball school I suppose
 
I'm pulling for Duke, since they're my wife's team. Who is everyone pulling for? Any Pitt fans?
 
Went to Chapel Hill and hate dook. 3rd game this year in ACC Semi's. Dook is flopping pretty well and head snapping into shape. They will be tough to beat tonight. LOL at MD in the Big 10, love seeing them lose also.
 
Looks like Nova, Xavier, UVA are locks for 1. dook, Purdue or UNC could possibly slide in along with KU. Kansas wins today and I feel the lock up the last 1. 2's most likely will be dook, UNC, Purdue, and Cincinnati. Mich State will be a very tough 3 seed. The big dance could be really wide open, and seeding could be interesting. I expect the usual March seeding with UNC, Kansas, Kentucky and Mich State all in the same bracket. Can't believe that Oklahoma is considered a lock and Oklahoma State is considered first 4 out?

Good luck tonight...getting back on the bus... JK. Excellent rivalry and one of the best in all of sports! I don't see UNC getting a #1 seed in the tourney at all. I also think it will be tough for Duke to get it, since I think KU will win. They play like a #1 seed now that they went zone after losing to you guys the first time. They're going to be a tough out for anyone now.
 
Good game SteelerinMD. UNC really locked down on D, I didn't think they were capable of doing it for an entire game, but they showed me otherwise. Pinson was a beast. Good luck in the championship game.
 
Looking forward to WVU vs. Kansas tonight. If WVU can stay out of foul trouble and pull it off. Lots of couches will be burning in Morgantown !
 
My alma matter just made the tourney for the 2nd time ever. UMBC plays UVA on Friday. Should be a quick exit...

Definitely was an enjoyable game. All 3 were. Pinson has developed into a very solid player. Did a great job on Bags. No surprise about Allen. IF he expects to play in the NBA, he better leave his antics in Durham.

Loved that the Retrievers made it in! Know a lot of people growing up that went there. Go to a few lacrosse game a year at UMBC. Luckily, UVA does not usually blow many teams out, they just put you to sleep with their style
 
Villanova's bracket looks brutal. Still can't believe that Oklahoma State did not get in and Oklahoma did! dSPN has been pimping Young all season and no way I guess they could be left out. Syracuse over both Notre Dame and Louisville? Also questionable. I see some big upsets in this years tourney. No bracket looks clear for any 1-4 seeds.

Couple early thoughts and possible Sleepers......

South: Arizona and Kentucky should be a great one and both could beat the Hoos
Loyal Chicago will give Miami fits

East: Alabama/V Tech winner will push Nova
SBU/UCLA beats Florida
Arkansas beats Purdue
Would not be surprised to see WVU come out

Mid West: Iona will keep it very close with dook for 30
NC State will give Kansas a game
Charleston beats Auburn
Rhode Island over OU
Neither dook, Kansas or MSU wins bracet

West: South Dakota beats OSU
UNC vs Michigan (if Michigan gets past Houston) will be a great game if happens
Zags get upset early
Xavier out opening weekend

Their new arena is sick! A legit place to showcase music concerts, sporting events, and hopefully ice hockey soon!
 
I've got my tickets and will be watching UMBC try and keep pace with UVA on Friday night!

I also talked to the Athletic Dept (I used to run sport clubs right after I graduated). They stated the new arena is not ice capable. What a dumb move...
 
My pick of UVA isn't looking real good right now. Down 17 with 3:29 to go. That would be a HUGE upset.
 
20 point loss ouch.... If i picked a #1 seed to lose it would have been Xavier
 
UVA got absolutely crushed, 74-54. All I can say is wow.
 
Watching TCU and Syracuse. This game is brutal. Both teams taking bad shot after bad shot, tons of fouls, no flow at all. Pretty ****** game to watch.
