Im sure some picked it, but they probably made a bunch of other crazy picks that didn't pan out. Before yesterday's game espn said they had 18 brackets that went 0-16.

Couple early thoughts and possible Sleepers......

South: Arizona and Kentucky should be a great one and both could beat the Hoos
Loyal Chicago will give Miami fits

East: Alabama/V Tech winner will push Nova
SBU/UCLA beats Florida
Arkansas beats Purdue
Would not be surprised to see WVU come out

Mid West: Iona will keep it very close with dook for 30
NC State will give Kansas a game
Charleston beats Auburn
Rhode Island over OU
Neither dook, Kansas or MSU wins bracet

West: South Dakota beats OSU
UNC vs Michigan (if Michigan gets past Houston) will be a great game if happens
Zags get upset early
Xavier out opening weekend

That wasn't THAT bad of predictions immediately after the brackets came out. Loyal Chicago, WVU, Charleston should have won, Rhode Island did win, MSU is out and so is Xavier. Just need dook to be out, nothing else matters.

Heels got pounded! Out played and out hustled, great game for TAMU. What a sweet 16 game: Loyal Chicago vs Nevada! Clemson absolutely destroyed Auburn....SEC SEC SEC

Next weeks games seem to be lining up great. To think a 7 or 11 is going to be in the Elite 8 this weekend!


For PC:

UK over KSU (think this could be an OT game)
Loyal Chicago into Elite 8

FSU over Zags
Michigan in a tight one over TAMU

Cuse over dook (can't ever pick them, never have and never will)
KU over Clemson

Nova and WVU - IMO all depends on how NOVA handles the constant pressing pressure. They have also lived by the 3
Purdue over Texas Tech
 
How can I leave out UMBC. That was awesome, late I have stayed up in a long time to watch a game with little personal importance. It was awesome. Cope, you have to still be on a high. That team gave a ******* helluva effort against KSU and were in it all game, they should in NO WAY hang their heads. Working in Maryland and having branches around UMBC, the local sports world is still buzzing! And Cope, you will never forget being at that game! UVA will never live that down. Nobody will remember them losing 2 games all year and winning the ACC regular season and Tournament. Every selections Sunday and 16 seed game that upset will be talked about. For the Maryland area that win easily trumps Hoppin in Coppin!

It was unreal. We drove down to Charlotte on Friday morning. Hit a brewery, then the hotel, grabbed dinner and walked to the Spectrum for the game. We only had tickets for session 2, so we saw the last half of the K-State game before the UMBC game started. We were in the nosebleeds, and slid over to the student section at tipoff. Wow, was it insane! I can't believe our boys dominated the #1 team in the country like that. They were hitting everything. After the game, the press mobbed our students to get reactions. i got on sportscenter. Then we hit the town until it closed. We only packed for one day, and had the hotel for one night. Our hotel was across the street from the Spectrum. Before the game we had to answer a lot of question on who our team was, after the game, people were buying us shots, food, everything. We were rock stars!

So we reupped the hotel for 2 more nights, got our tickets on stub hub, and enjoyed the town. Saturday was St Patty's day, and the nation's biggest bar crawl is in Charlotte. The parade was a block from the hotel and we checked that out. It was tough to walk 10 feet without people wanting to congratulate us and talk with us about it. UMBC had been staying outside of town for the Friday game, they came back into town and stayed at our hotel for the Sunday game. The pep rally was on the second floor so we got food, shwag and beer, then rolled to the game.

Again we had nosebleeds, and watched UNC get upset by Texas A&M. We moved down at the 5 minute mark, since we knew the UNC fans would be leaving, and got tickets lower level, at half court. It was amazing. We had a nice run early, played excellent. defense. It just wasn't our night on the foul line. I would never expect our team (a team running with 4 guards) would be hitting 50% from the line. You can tell the media coverage sapped our energy a bit. But they still played very hard.

After the game, our team didn't cry or sulk. They walked over to the student section to applaud us. We were loud as hell and appreciated the love. I've been to tons of sporting events, championships and the like. Watching my college win a tournament game as a 16 seed is now at the top. We always go and support our team, never thinking that they would win, but win they did, and you're right, every march madness, we will be reliving that moment for decades to come!
 
Wow, Loyola of Chicago just won their region. My team had a shot at a final 4! Insane how that bracket shook out. 9 vs 11 for the final 4 berth!
 
My wife is bummed her Dukies got beat. Too bad Greyson missed the shot at the end of regulation. Jayhawks will have a tough time vs Nova. Good luck in the final 4 next week!
