We will start the season next year in New England for the Thursday Night opener. They showed a list of their home games for next season and we are by far the marquee match-up. Prepare to start 0-1.

This has been rumored to be the case over the last week. It does make sense. The only other potential choices I could see would be the Jets or Eagles.

Shouldn't be a problem since that feeble old man retired. I'm sure Butler's brand new schemes will befuddle Brady and co.

Hows about we start 1-0 and knock Brady out for his career?
I like that thought, but with Jarvis and Worilds as our OLB's, we aren't getting to brady, I don't care if Buddy Ryan or Bud Carson is the DC.
If we open there, we are going to have to score 35-40 to have a shot

When is the official schedule released?

I think Buffalo would be a likely scenario, given Rex's comments at his coming out press conference.

We'll see how Butler does. The gauntlet has been thrown down. I think DLB was only able to beat Belicheat and Brady maybe twice ever.

The Bills with Rex Ryan would be a good pick too

I thought the NFL wanted to save the first and last games for divisional opponents if at all possible?

Bills seems like the obvious choice.

Peter dismisses the Jets, but I don't totally rule them out for a few reasons. 1. The NY tv market 2. The Boston/NY rivalry 3. Division rival 4. Jets have a new head coach. If you just go by last year's records, yeah, it seems silly. But we'll see what they pick. If it's the Steelers, I don't totally mind it. Probably better to get that game out of the way early.

Judging how we played that last game, we'd probably have trouble with the Raiders for a home opener.

The risk of a blowout is too big with the Jets. I'd think it would be us or the Eagles. We're the heavy favorite because we're the only team on their schedule with a quarterback.

Pats* with Brady average almost 32 points a game against the Steelers. For games in New Cheatland, that average goes up to almost 40 points a game. Steelers kept Brady under 20 points just once in his career, and that was in Pittsburgh back in '11.

I don't think you need to befuddle him, you just need to hit him, repeatedly.

What does that have to do with anything? I'm sure Brady & Co. will light up the scoreboard against us again. It doesn't change the fact that the NFL would rather have Brady vs. Big Ben than Brady vs. Geno Smith or whatever another garbage QB the Jets might start next season.

You said the Jets had too much potential for a blowout. The point was that there's a greater risk of a blowout with the Steeler D out there. And if the offense that showed up against the Rats shows up, that risk goes up even more. And if Bell gets a suspension, pretty much that same offense will face the Pats*.

You're just a ray of sunshine today, aren't ya?

It just amazes me that we don't even know who we are playing for sure..players have not been thru camp yet...but we are gonna be 0-1 and get blown out by the Cheats...why do we even bother playing the games...lets just have Rog go down our schedule mark a W or L by each team and be done with it..what a ******* joke

Just telling it like it is. I don't want the Steeler D to suck against the Cheats, but reality is it has. Now, can Butler turn that around? I sure hope so, we'll find out this year.
