Mason

People that think that do not remember the upgrade that Duck Hodges was to Rudolph…either that or revisionist history
Duck was not an upgrade
The D stepped up a couple times
Let’s not get Duck’s role there twisted

The 4 TDs 8 picks and 66 rating would suggest Mason was better imo
Maybe not better when recently removed from having his head bashed in tho, but over their careers Rudy>Duck

He was a cool feel good story but c’mon Duck looked like a division 2 QB when he was at his best with that lil noodle arm of his

I think Mitch should start but a bad half and I'd be looking for an answer.
I would say give Mitch Thursday Night. It is a short week and he should get the majority of the snaps in practice. If he :poop: the bed on national tv I would quickly move on to Rudolph to see what he can do vs the Colts.

Funny side note. I went to a Steelers bar in 2019 called Patrick McGovern's in St. Paul Minnesota during the Steelers vs Colts game. I was so pissed at the way Rudolph was playing I was calling for Duck Hodges at halftime. Well, I am planning on going to Patrick McGovern's again for the Colts game. It would be pretty ironic if this time I was calling for Mason Rudolph at halftime.

Rudolph gives us a better chance to win games that Trubisky. I’m sure they won’t start him Thursday but I wish they would. He has nothing to lose and would go out and try to show he deserves a job somewhere next year…
May I have some of what you're taking??? Water ain't doing it for me...

I am kinda shocked you only have 1 post in this thread

I posted a breakdown of KP vs the Bengals but because it was positive no one attacked me. This last game was too incomplete to really so much. He had some good throws and missed a wide open CA3 on the play he got injured. But small sample size. Thursday will have me decide if Mitch can do enough to get us into the playoffs. Currently, we are the 5th seed. I think the loss to Arizona might have pushed the AFC north out of reach. We needed wins vs the Cards, Pats and Bengals and to go 1/1 vs the Colts and Hawks to go into the final game with a shot. Now imo we need to win Pats, Bengals (who's QB just ripped up the Jags for 354 yards at 86.5% with a passing and rushing td), Colts, and Hawks to go into that Ravens game with the AFC north on the line. So at best we are still playing for a wild card and the Ravens sit their starters to help us out.

And you think Rudy will give you that answer you seek?🤪
I think he will look good throwing the ball. He will stand in the pocket make his reads and deliver some nice throws. The problem comes when like in 2019 the line fails him and he isn't laterally mobile enough to not get killed. He will tease us with his arm and get killed doing it.

What is pro-action??? Cooch asked me to ask that...

Having a plan or contingency should something go wrong. It seems they are reactionary to what would be common sense. When BOZ got knocked the **** out, Harvin was put in to place kick…… yet you could tell he had never even practiced that.

Re-action

Pro-action

A valid example

Would be to have practiced him or another individual at said duty. There is a lingering chance that any player can be hurt, thus the cross training. Cross training needs to happen especially for the “single “ player roles LS / K / P / PK. I’m not saying all pro’s, but Presley Harvin was led out there as GREEN as green could be.

But so did Mitch.
And if we’re being honest, so did Kenny.

The offense is a mess. Top to bottom, front to back. Make whatever excuse for whoever, but the bottom line is at this point, outside of Warren and to a lesser extent Harris, no one is getting it done. It’s pitiful to watch.

22 would possibly be the worst candidate for wildcat in the history of that formation.
I already posted my wildcat plan in another thread, except it was just for goal to go from the one. Not sure it would work all the time, though the D word be beat to **** if you did.

Maybe Stephon Logan isn’t busy ????? No?

KP8 is still probably better than his current play shows, but he was the gadget, cutesy pick, not a learned GM/headcoach pick. The fact that we all knew he was getting picked says too much about the leadership there.

I hope he turns into something more.

Mason is in a bad spot. I don't think that anyone can know what his potential is. Some disagree and know. They just know. Even if he got a chance, could anyone thrive in that spot right now? The whole situation is so very bad, that nothing short of a total reset will bring any legit progress.
