Jones has added more value, by far, to the Cowboys franchise value than any other owner, regardless of sport.Has it helped Jones?
Monetary value but what about winning? I don't see it.Jones has added more value, by far, to the Cowboys franchise value than any other owner, regardless of sport.
I cannot stand the cry girls, but have great respect for the outperformance of the franchise.
As much as I dislike their teams, I have to admire Jerry Jones and Robert Kraft for their attitude to failure. It's always "What have you done for me lately?"
My understanding is he didn't fire McCarthy at all. He tried to resign him to a new short-term deal, and they couldn't come to an agreement. You can't "fire" someone who isn't under contract. If so, then the rest is hogwash. The day Kraft fired his current HC, I was listening to the “Blitz” radio show. They had an interview with Hand-Job Bob and bob talked about many things. One of the things that I heard was how he felt he owed it to the fans. He owed it to the fans to get better and felt he was accountable to them. He actually sounded sincere about it.
I could care less about that ****-ing franchise or its fans, but I do take note on what Bob said about accountable to the fans.
Art 2 could think about and incorporate this kind of thinking………….——————

Beat me to it. His contract ran out, and they couldn't come to terms. How many more years before this is even a possibility for us? *sigh*My understanding is he didn't fire McCarthy at all. He tried to resign him to a new short-term deal, and they couldn't come to an agreement. You can't "fire" someone who isn't under contract. If so, then the rest is hogwash.
Not to bust up your dissin' on Cool Shades (I agree with you basic point) but McCarthy did not beat Fraudlin in the Super Bowl, that was Barry Switzer, which is actually worse. So McCarthy has the same number of double digit win seasons as Tomlin, he beat Tomlin head to head in the Super Bowl, he has more playoff wins than Tomlin, has won a playoff game more recently than Tomlin, yet he's been fired twice.
Green Bay Super Bowl, not Dallas. Not to bust up your dissin' on Cool Shades (I agree with you basic point) but McCarthy did not beat Fraudlin in the Super Bowl, that was Barry Switzer, which is actually worse.
yeah he is all kinds of confused on that one. Switzer didn't beat Tomlin either he beat Cowher. So doubly wrong.Green Bay Super Bowl, not Dallas.
My mistake, sorry.Green Bay Super Bowl, not Dallas.
And we hear the voice from Annville.yeah he is all kinds of confused on that one. Switzer didn't beat Tomlin either he beat Cowher. So doubly wrong.

It's a bad memory regardless. I still feel sick thinking about the Dallas game. I can still see Woodson pointing at his knee after coming back for the game after the knee surgery earlier in the year after tearing his ACL the first game and making a big play early on. I barely ate the next two weeks after that loss (Green Bay loss and the "fumble" not any better). lolyeah he is all kinds of confused on that one. Switzer didn't beat Tomlin either he beat Cowher. The Dallas loss was worse simply because it was Dallas. Green Bay doesn’t bother me as a franchise. In another life I could see having been a Green Bay fan. But being Burgh born and bred it is only the Steelers for me, win lose or otherwise. It's a bad memory regardless. I still feel sick thinking about the Dallas game. Huh? You got somethin to say shrimp? I actually said something nice about you the other day versus some even more annoying poster. And we hear the voice from Annville.

McCarthy didn't lose his job, he chose not to take a shorter contract. That is a big distinction. Jones wanted him to stay.I could care less about that franchise. I’m only re-stating what I heard from the Blitz radio sports program.
Kraft also said it was a very hard decision because him and McCarthy were friends.
None of the reasoning of fired or being let go has zero to do with me, I think that whole franchise could blow smoke.
The ONLY part of that whole interview was the part he (kraft) felt he had an accountability to the fans. That and only that was my point.
Do you feel our owner has felt any accountability to we the fans ? How much loyalty has he actually shown?
I know the “STEELERS” way very well, I understand it.
I also know I am but a mere fan and have zero control over anything. I also know this level of scheme / COACHING is below the line, and for quite some time now. I also know that bringing this out into the open, opens many eyes and opinions.
I also know that the beloved Mike Tomlin, with this level of success over the last 10 years, would have been replaced. An equal success coach from the Packers and now the Cowboys has lost his job twice in this amount of time or less.
It’s the feeling of accountability to fans that has been elusive through-out Art 2’s leadership. Even a very small adherence would go a long ways. An undeniable never happen “HOT” seat has been a ghost, causing this team to be where it is at, ground hog day.

Lol, you’d fire Smith for being bad for 1 season but not Tomlin for being bad for 8 seasons
Just what I have said. Dookie is more scared of dropping back then he is willing to risk to move forward. The money is great, right where they are. The amount of a financial bump does not make it worth the risk. From a financial standpoint, he is right, and a smart move to maintain wealth.Mr. Rooney's comfort zone is a beautiful place, but nothing ever grows there. He will choose to stay where he is because he feels comfortable there – because even if it sucks, it’s a known commodity. Making a change involves risk, which will not occur, making comment here moot.
