Mike Tomlin and the "who would replace him" meme

Can we just get the Mike Tomlin vs the Chiefs version every week? Then we could all stop our bitching and rehashing ancient history that doesn't change a damn thing...

You mean the version whom punted on 4th-and-2 from the opponents' 35?

A development Ben wanted no parts of. He hated the offense and ran Whisenhunt out of town. He wanted more freedom more passing.

Didn't Ken run off to Arizona and take their HCing job? Didn't really want to wait around to see if the Steelers were going to hire him or not. Or am I remembering things wrong?

Speculate much? I didn't realize that you had such a close relationship with Ben to be able to make such bold revelations.

There was no article or link in your post above. Looked back at the thread and still don't see an article with that says anything close to what you are speculating.

First link doesn't work and the second link, who the hell is Matt Steel and why is his opinion worth any more than anybody else? But I guess because he thinks Ben'e ego is the sole problem and he put an article on the internet that must make it true?

Gotcha.. but this isnt the first time these things have been said. Ben didnt like the offense he was in. He wanted one where he was the focal point. I have no issue with that. But you must produce if you are the focal point.

I actually think it was all Haley, who finally figured out we can be very good at power football. Tomlin still has issues on timeouts, but at least he dressed Harrison, so I'll give him credit for that move, which should have been done much sooner.

I believe this team found its identity in the Ravens and Chiefs game. We abandoned it vs. the Jags, but hopefully, these two have learned. Better late then never.

Keep running Bell with Nix, and McDonald on the field, with Ju-Ju looking a bit like Hines Ward as the blocking WR, with optional pulls by DeCastro or Pouncey. This really works and will prevent the other team from playing a base nickel which will make it easier for Ben to throw it.

I'd like to see McDonald start. And for once play action called when the ground game is going.

I've been calling for More power football for a while. Steeler Depot breaks it down.

Tomlin is fine with his TOs, except when he loses them on questionable challenges.

Ben has issues with clock management. He calls TOs too quickly in the game, and burns downs to stop the clock, when he has plenty of time.

No, YOU"VE got it right. Then our porno coach raN OFF too. Ben disliked Weisenhunts offense because it kept him diciplined and actually made B EN work at being good instead of just relying on his athletic ability. Maybe I Remeber it wrong but BEN seemed to allways be so efficient and HIGH QBRs. Seemed like he would be 12-16 for 225 yards and two TDs or better stats.

Salute the nation
