Mike Tomlin extension to be announced soon

More memorable than winning a SB?

That all happens.....if they do not find a suitable replacement for Ben. If they do, Tomlin will keep winning, just like he always has. Coaches almost never win without a good QB. It's happened....but not often. Even Chuck Noll couldn't do it, hence my comment above.

A decade ago with a team assembled by another coach.

Tomlin is not capable of getting this team back to that.

You are delusional. They were one game away......last year. Let's not act like they are miles away and not in competition pretty much every year.

Every single great NFL coach is linked to a great QB that got him those wins. Give me one NFL HOF caliber coach that wasn't. Hell, even Cowher needed a great QB to finally get that first ring.

Ben is special, and we are lucky to have him. I wouldn't fault the coaching staff by trying to get the most out of his talents.

How many times has Tomlin beaten the Cheatriots again?

What steps is Tomlin taking to groom and develop a replacement for Ben again?

Refresh my memory and let me know about delusions Slappy.

How are they supposed to groom a great QB to replace Ben when we're drafting so late in the draft. Just cause Dallas got lucky with Dak and Seattle with Wilson doesn't mean you can draft mid round QBs and be set up in the future.

true, but you can draft a QB earlier than the 4th round. DeShone Kizer was drafted in the 2nd round @ #52. He's looking good so far. Ju-Ju was picked 10 spots after him.

Yah, and he will probably be out of the league before Dobbs lol.

I'd rather draft to win now while we have Ben. If it means we win a SB and have to be 5-11/6-10 for a year or two after Ben to be able to draft a big stud early first round QB then so be it.

Is Tomlin the entire front office now Slappy? We go to the AFC Championship Game and lose to the team that nobody else can seem to beat when it counts and Tomlin sucks. Spoiled, whiny fan base with expectations not based in reality.

He may. As the Clev stench may get to him, too. There's that fine line of winning now and preparing for Life After Ben.

A QB that was forced upon him by the owner...

All those ****** QB's he drafted were not his fault.

I agree on the TE, but as far as QBs available at the time.

Its just a total waste of a pick when you consider we will absolutely be drafting a QB in round 1 or 2 this coming year. No reason to draft a guy in round 4 when we could have had another position player on the roster.

you're correct. All Dobbs is doing is trying to maybe be #2 over Landry. He will never be a starter, not in B&G. It probably is a waste of a pick, but they have been drafting these type of QBs ever since Ben's arrival.

I am looking in the crystal ball funny it says nothing about Dobbs being a wasted pick.Your crystal ball must be better than mine.

Hell I'd accept a reliable career 2nd string QB on a 4th Round pick. If Ben has taught us nothing else, he has taught us that you better have a decent backup because you are gonna need him. Oh I long for the days of Charlie Batch.

Simply failure to admit a mistake. Tombert is no different.
