They can keep Edmunds in close full time now. No need for him to be far off the ball. He can cover TEs and RBs close. That's it. Or should I say that is how it should play out.

Overly simplified but if you pay a largely stay at home deep safety and you have ****** corners where would you throw?

Witherspoon and Wallace are both above average DBs. Sutton is no slouch either.

Bringing back Terrell was big because of the present chemistry.

If the DL gets pressure they'll be tough targets down the field...

Minkah showed how really good he was last year when he was asked to play all over the place and even help out the ILB's. He became a stud at getting to the ball carrier and making the tackle like our ILB's should do. He was very unselfish. The Steelers knew what they had and weren't wasting any time signing him. Give Boz his $500,000 pay raise or so and this year of signing our own is done. Unless, or course, DJ wants to take a $15 million offer. That's all I'm offering him right now.

Good move. Outside of Watt and Cam, Minkah is the next best defender and a last line of defense against a group of linebackers and DBs who struggled last year. Love that this deal was done early and ahead of a couple of monster safety contracts on the horizon. His "highest paid" tag may not live very long.

Where you going in Krautland Slash? Last time I went to Munich,and a very magical city,Regensburg. Absolutely beautiful. Have been several times,but it’s been a while. Thinking about the beer and Spatzle,Schnitzel and red cabbage. With those beautiful little deserts. Getting jealous.

Kippenheim about a 2 and a half hours south of Frankfurt. 1 hour in a half if you are my sister's husband.

Yeah looking forward to the tall dark beers.

Last time I was there about 5 years ago that was my meal beverage. One tall beer per sitting. You can get spatzle in the states. Schnitzel too but always never seems the same taste wise. Red cabbage love that one of my favorite veggies.

I mean while we definitely use the base 3/4 less than ever these days, it still fundamentally is the defensive foundation… and while a great safety does not drive it like the linebackers do, having one definitely shores it up greatly… just remember the pre mincah, post troy days or the Brent alexander era here…
