Minkah bold statement

Minkah said steelers were outcoached. Jets adjusted to what the steelers were doing in the 4th quarter and the steelers didn't adjust any further.

Then JuJu called out the steelers offensive coaching staff saying he learned more in KC in a few weeks than in his whole time with the steelers.

Heyward, as he always does, talked about details and the defense doing their job:

“Not enough coordination through the entire defense and not enough attention to detail,” Heyward said. “I know that’s easy to say, but it comes down to that — the little things. Understanding if we push it up field and we string it out, we all have to get to the ball, understanding angles.

“It’s a cycle where we all have to work together. ... We all have to be accountable to make these plays and be a good defense.”

Wow that's the current turbulence in the locker room now at 1-3. I can't imagine what it's going to be like when the Steelers hit the BYE Week. Minkah is NOT wrong with his assessment though. You have to make adjustments throughout the game....plain and simple. If you don't your going to struggle. That is what we are seeing now at 1-3.

It's why we haven't won a playoff game in a long long time.

You would expect this from a young head coach but Tomlin has been here 16 years.....it should be automatic and he should let his assistant coaches make the necessary adjustments as they see fit. Cowher was the same for years....a control freak....it took a young rookie in Ben Roethlisber for FG Bill to finally take the restraints off the offense. Tomlin has no excuses...all the blame falls on him.

Lebeau had complete control of alot of those defenses too though. As soon as Lebeau left the Steelers, we immediately went downhill on defense.

Sorry, but that's revisionist history. The defense was going to **** WHILE Lebeau was here. It started to go to **** as the star players aged, retired, etc.
That's not an endorsement of Tomlin. Good coaches make less than star players better. That hasn't happened here in a looooong time.

Yep, that's fair for sure.

Scroll down halfway for #39 opinion....

“He said Reid makes you see the whole field. He answers the ‘why.’ He gets you to understand how to read defenses. And he says one of the coolest things Reid does is that before every game, he says ‘Let your ‘personality out.’ He said there is nothing better that a coach could say.”

He's buying the players a new pair of shoes for next game I think. That should fix everything.

We will also be releasing Hell. Maybe not the fiery pits of Hell but probably something like a warm autumn day type Hell.

He is doing a good job pumping them up, yet his production is still iffy. Not that he isn't right in his assessment. But Ben was getting him the ball just fine when he was on top of his game. Reid is a better head coach than our version sure. Where it matters most, makes timely adjustments.

I think it should be a "rebuilding" year for DJ's hands, because they can't seem to catch footballs like they should.

I think what you see is what you get with him. Good moments and head shaking moments. Still he is producing on a higher level than Claypool. Good news is they have a rookie WR that has talent and good hands. And a solid TE. If Claypool could pull his head out of his arse that would greatly help the corps

to be fair, Tomlin does put a treat on a stick to see how high Jumppool can get

What a great way to be forced to look at a guy that we just paid ridiculous money to.

One compliment given to Tomlin is that he has never “lost the team”. It sounds like that might be changing.
