I strongly disagree, in fact most on this board would strongly disagree if it would have been the other way around. There would be threads about how they moved the ball on us, and we only won because we were handed good field position, that we didn't play well at all. So you can think we got blown out, I don't agree with that assessment at all. It DOES matter how the team beats you when looking at the bigger picture. Just like we have threads bitching that we ONLY beat the Browns by 3.

Right.

What Say you Steeler Nation?

Did we get blown out by 20 points or was it I a "close" 20 point loss?

yup, and I have been as well. And I think my breakdown of the Ravens game is pretty accurate. We lost, it wasn't pretty, but it wasn't a blowout. They aren't heaps better than us, I don't think they are better at all. They just didn't make mistakes like we did. We set them up first and goal on their first drive because Cortez grabbed and pulled Smith the entire route he ran. On another drive we hand them two personal foul penalties (not that I agree with either one of them, but they were borderline calls). Later, they are gifted another 15 yards because Mitchell's hand touches S.Smith's facemask. That's four first downs, three of them giving them almost 60 yards, and another giving them 4 more shots from the one after our D made a good stand.

The Ravens didn't blow us out, we shot ourselves in the foot repeatedly. Handed them yards, handed them the ball, didn't execute at all. We also missed two int's. But at the same time, that's why I hate Thursday games. When you have to make several changes and adjustments, plus get a gameplan in for a new team, three days just isn't enough time to do it.

All those things happen in all games. I'm sure Denver was kicking themselves in the SB thinking "if only we hadn't turned the ball over and missed so many tackles". But that's football. My issue is that you seem to think the Steelers were destined to lose because of where and when they played. It's easy to say that after the game. Just like saying they'll lose this week because they are on the road on Sunday night. But waiting of course until after the game to say it.

You are reading into this way too much. We were not blown out, the game was not close because of the mistakes WE made.

So you're only allowed to talk about a game if you said anything at all before the game? I didn't say they were destined to lose, but it wasn't a huge surprise that they did lose. Just when I was starting to gain a little respect for you, you go and drop this bomb. Are you ******* kidding me?

It's nothing like saying they will lose this week because they are on the road for a sunday night game. Thursday night games have shown a pattern of a big advantage to home teams, it has to deal with the amount of time each team has to prepare for the game, but only one has to travel... eating a day of already tight schedules. This week we have an EXTRA two days. Apples to oranges.

If you give the other team the ball on a short field they don't have make 80-90 yard drives to score. Conversely if you don't score and the other team beats you by 20 you have been blown out. if you cant grasp that insanity you may be stuck on STOOPID.

reading isn't your strong suit, you should probably stick to coloring books

What ever man. I know a blow out when I see one though.
