The Islamic State has released a new propaganda video celebrating the recent terror attacks in Paris and showing images of Times Square as fighters make vague threats against France and the U.S., which U.S. law enforcement officials said are not new.

The highly produced video contains images of Times Square, Herald Square and Central that were originally published in April. The implied threats to New York and the U.S. are not new, authorities said.

Most Americans Oppose Syrian Refugee Resettlement

Most Americans want the U.S. to stop letting in Syrian refugees amid fears of terrorist infiltrations after the Paris attacks, siding with Republican presidential candidates, governors, and lawmakers who want to freeze the Obama administration’s resettlement program.

The findings are part of a Bloomberg Politics national poll released Wednesday that also shows the nation divided on whether to send U.S. troops to Iraq and Syria to fight the Islamic State, an idea President Barack Obama opposes, and whether the U.S. government is doing enough to protect the homeland from a comparable attack.

Fifty-three percent of U.S. adults in the survey, conducted in the days immediately following the attacks, say the nation should not continue a program to resettle up to 10,000 Syrian refugees.

Just 28 percent would keep the program with the screening process as it now exists, while 11 percent said they would favor a limited program to accept only Syrian Christians while excluding Muslims

Paris attacks: Abdelhamid Abaaoud 'died in Saint Denis raid'

The suspected ringleader of the Paris attacks, Abdelhamid Abaaoud, has been identified as one of those killed in Tuesday's raid in the suburb of Saint Denis, the Paris prosecutor says.

His body was found riddled with bullets and shrapnel in the shattered apartment in the northern suburb.

The Belgian national, 28, was identified from his fingerprints.

In retrospect, maybe this was all part of Obama's foreign policy plan.

He ran on an isolationist platform promising no matter what to get boots on the ground out of the middle east. He ran on the premise the United States should not have to be the deciding vote on international terrorism and that other countries needed to pull their weight, both economically and monetarily.

His policy might clearly have been to not do anything, allow the migrant, Syrian and ISIS problems to finally effect other countries viscerally for them to finally wake up. Now we have a true coalition that involves Europe, US, Russia and China with eyes on the problem.

Maybe now if an invasion does happen (using US forces), we won't be left hung out to dry by the international community in our efforts to nation build after the initial combat phase like we were in Iraq. Maybe now the world will understand the risks of creating power vacuums.

I'm not saying I agree with this or even think Obama is smart enough to have this plan 5 years ago but when you look at where we our today, this instant, we are extremely close to having an international coalition that is dead set on boots on the ground with the entire understanding that something will have to be done long-term in the region to stabilize the governments there.
