I might be in the minority but I don’t want to trade DJ and think a new OC will dramatically improve the attitudes of everyone on offense, DJ and Pickens the most. I have also heard rumblings they are already negotiating an extension for DJ.

Not sure he isn't worth 20 or will still be available at 20 either
He's a hard cover for DBs and can always find ways to get open-those skills have immense value in the NFL (many CBs cited him as the hardest cover they faced per a recent report)
it only takes 1 GM to pull the trigger and his draft stock has been shooting upwards
It is a deep WR draft so I do expect him to be available when we're on the clock, but anything could happen
I figure his talent puts him in the 20-40 range easily so not much of a stretch for someone to take a chance

Have we not learned our lesson about taking skill players in the first round when we have more pressing needs? Not sure why alot want a WR early when we have 2 potential all-pro WRs now.

DJ may be on the trade block and Pickens is a bit of a headcase. Right now WR seems like a luxury pick in RD 1 but what if they sign a Center and an ILB in free agency? That's 2 huge needs crossed off. OT is very deep. There may be 5 of them off the board by the steelers pick. It's possible WR could be the best pick on the board.

If this team doesn't take the clear BPA it is a fail. If they don't set themselves up in free agency to take the BPA it is a fail.

If that is a WR in 1 they should do it if they aren't trading up or down in the draft.

Which for me is a more desired approach go up and get a difference maker or go down and pick up picks. Now if you have a difference maker sitting there before a trade down, you take him.
