That Pickett guy was not half bad for his 2nd 4th quarter come from bebind in as many weeks either. In both throwing TDs with less than a minute to go.

he protected the ball and made a great play to get that ball out to Najee to win it
but Najee and Warren carried this team on their backs tonight
and the defense was tough as hell in the second half

Najee's best game as a Steeler and it was the game where he officially arrived as a part of the Steelers-Ravens rivalry. The physical play and trash talking would've fit in with any of the Steelers-Ravens games of the past.

This is definitely a top 3 performance. Maybe top physicality performance of his nfl career.
This is the Steelers football that I remember and really enjoy watching. It's exciting to watch a passing game where the ball is thrown all over the lot but a dominating D and running game coupled with an effective passing game is an awesome combination and will win playoff games. Obviously...

It took us nearly 59:10 to beat a division rival who was playing their backup QB, but somehow we're on the verge of winning the North? For that to happen, we'd need a new OC, DC, HC, and the Bengals would need reassigned to the AFC West.

The Steelers dropped 2-3 close games earlier in the year when they were making their rookie QB throw the ball 35+ times and treated the run game as an afterthought. It’s almost as though if they spent the offseason establishing the OL and ground game they could’ve come out a little better and more balanced and won those games (I know it takes the OL time to jel).

I’ll enjoy the win vs a bad QB
It’s great to see them putting things together, vs this string of very mediocre-bottom feeding clubs I’ll temper the optimism a bit tho about being anything more than what we’ve been for a long while-average
We kept ourselves through basically mistake free play, a solid D and run game to be in position to NEED a TD vs another team’s backup…that doesn’t really look like a dominant team or even a playoff contender…we may still yet get to the standard though “not sub 500”
At least it’s a watchable product with the D and run game and occasional great play by Pickens when he gets the rare target

If they just didn’t sign Gunner and rolled with Sims we’d be on the inside track…despite all these warts
Najee has been playing better and better since he took the metal plate out of his shoe and the bye week when he got to rest his foot a little. The OL has been run blocking better as well. They still can't pass block but that's another discussion for another time (both tackles were getting beat relatively consistently last night). He looks like the beast he was last year when many on here were still saying he was not very good because he wasn't ripping off 50 yard runs. Last night he had a lot of 6, 8, 10-yard runs and those are what you need to wear a team down especially come December and the playoffs.
