Najee. Wow

I didn't watch the game, but he has done that so many times previously I knew exactly what this was about as soon as you posted it.

I used to think the line blocked differently when he was in the game, then I started to notice there are holes open like that and he almost runs to contact.

Warren would have busted that for about 10 yards.

But Najee is Mikey T's guy.

10 yards?!?

Warren or any other NFL caliber running back might of taken that to the house!

That assessment was based on the hole that opened up to the left, and Muth half assing the block on the linebacker.

If he does run to the left #45 is most likely making the tackle but at least it would have been a gain.

On that play, it looked like Najee decided not to run behind Muth, which left him in a much worse situation.

In all fairness, there was a hole on both sides, but Najee for some reason chose not to run into the grand canyon of a hole he was staring directly at. o_O

Honestly, my slow *** 56 year old legs might have gotten a few yards right there....

Looking at it again, I think it was designed to go right because Daniels releases and runs up the field to TRY to block the other linebacker. And naturally whiffed.

So Najee started to react to what he was seeing and his brain reverted back to the play call.

Someone took some "Let's be nice to the guy" pills today.

And a above average NFL back would make the first guy miss or break the attempted tackle.
That play had at least 15-20 yards written all over it...minimum.

I like Najee. But, Najee doesn’t read the holes well. He also doesn’t accelerate into the hole fast enough. It’s kinda like he wants to run sorta, kinda like a Bell. But he isn’t Bell and we don’t have that line. He needs to run more utilizing his size.

I think. Sure can be successful at the NFL level. But some of the issues in his game he could get away with in college against lesser talent won’t work in the NFL.

That all being said, almost the entire team is a sloppy poop show so arguably the teaching isn’t great and we get back to …

Agreed...

But you cant teach instincts or lack of acceleration.....unfortunately..

Just a terrible 1st round choice..

Kahn and Weidle have their work cut out for them.

I guess it was the oline’s fault.
No its Canada's fault.

How about the play where Najee got the carry at the 2 and ran it back to the 10, thank god they whistled it dead at the 5

Or my personal favorite

Najee faces a totally different Defense than Jaylen Warren. Thats the reason Warren looks good at 5.3 ypc and Najee is 3.9 career
I'm glad all the Najee truthers have crawled into a cave never to be heard from again.

Lack of the running backs coach to be able to teach Harris what he is missing, seems to be the way with all our position coaches.

The fact that he still gets the majority of plays over Warren is a disgrace and disservice to the team. Shouldn’t the better player be getting the ball? Not in Tomlin’s eyes. The player he picked should be getting the ball.

Tomlin's stubborness is insane

To be fair, Canada was a huge problem and the current mess is in part his doing. The continuing failures don't exonerate Canada. What they do, however, is reveal what a lot of folks believed or knew, Canada had to go but he needed to take a whole lot of other people with him.

Not so much trying to be nice, as I am trying to make an excuse for why he did that DJ.

It's almost like he screwed up and ran the wrong direction at first, realized it, and switched.

If he had went right from the snap there were yards to be gained there.

Najee’s vision was never a strong point in the NFL and one reason why he leaves yards on the table. Also, where’s that tough, physical running we saw a few weeks ago? So inconsistent.
