They can start by doing something aerodynamically that doesn't let 45 cars run side by side for 500 miles then wreck each other the last 10.

I watched the last couple laps of overtime and that was it. When nobody can pass without someone pushing them in the *** I have no interest in watching a whole race.

Only thing I heard is that they took him to a trauma center.
 
The finish was incredible but heartbreaking. Great racing. I hope Ryan is OK.

The other accidents were just ridiculous, particularly the accident on the next to last restart. What an embarrassment. They could not even get up to speed without 3 idiots slamming into each other. I would of sent all 3 to the pits and made them stay there.

Half of these ******** can't drive worth a damn. Logano wrecked most of the best cars by carelessly and aggressively bump drafting And then he was taken out by some ******* who thought he could pass on the apron. WTF!

It's remarkable that he survived that crash. The view on the broadcast didn't do it justice. You see some of the videos from track level and the grand stands and you can get a better feel for the pure speed and power of these wrecks.
 
Glad he seems ok, though serious condition is still serious.

Those cars are really not good when they do not turn left.....shouldn't the guy behind Newman that bumped him be suspended or fired or fined?

If that was the NFL, effin Roger would have already fined Deebo.

Man he is lucky. Seemed to take a pretty direct hit when the car was upside down from another car.
 
I thought NASCAR used to have a rule that in the last 5 laps or something like that that restarts were single file. That would help a lot on the big tracks like Daytona. Double wide gets too many cars bunched up and all hell normally breaks out.

Too many wrecks at the end of races. They need to allow bigger tires or more downforce or something.
 
That was a horrble wreck.I thought that was a fatality for sure.The car behind him wrecked him.The race just looks like smash up derby with a lot more speed. I really can't get into this kind of racing. Everyone exactly the same all packed in like sardines at breakneck speeds playing team smashup. Whomever builds the roll cages in these stock cars deserves a medal.
These guys need a better way to seperate.

That's how it's been at Daytona and Talladega since they put on the restrictor plates. Some of the best drivers in NASCAR hate these tracks for that reason. Remove the plates and reduce the engine size.
 
I think the playing field should be level equipment wise so actual driver skill is more relevant. I would be for limiting speeds though

Phoenix was a great race yesterday. It's great when they get away from the cookie cutter tracks. I'd love to see them bring back the second Darlington race and dump one of the 1.5 milers.
