NCAA National Championship Game Day Thread - Georgia vs. Bama

Young is one inch taller at 6 feet. With all do respect to Kyler Murray. No thanks. But I will take Georgia's monster nose.
 
Hats off to Georgia and Kirby Smart. He took the first beating and made some great adjustments. Georgia was hands down the best team all year. They had 1 bad game against the 2nd best team in the country in Bama. But they came to play last night. When the bama CB went down Smart went right after his replacement. Also hats off to Bennett. After that fumble he could have mailed it in. He didn't. Great job young man.

Congrats MTC, that kid Ringo with the pick 6 is from here in Scottsdale, so I was pulling for him.
First title since 1980? I've been waiting since '76 (or January '77 to be technical), guess who they beat way back then?

I was glued to the couch lol. Mrs. MTC who is also a Dawg alum was the cheering fan
 
That was great defensive game in the 1st and exciting in the 2nd. Both teams are NFL style teams and don't win with FG's. Truly the best 2 teams in the country the past few years (Clemson previously also in that group). Extending the playoffs next year just delays the inevitable of those 2 teams again in the finals. Did you see all the guys Bama got from Free Agency, I mean transfer portal? SEC is where college football is and where the money comes from. Going to an ACC school, basketball and other sports are the way, football outside Clemson is not very good often or for long term. Big Ten just does not seem to be able to really compete with the SEC and I hate that personally. NCAA will be blown up at some point between hoops and football and lack of accountability anywhere. The transfer portal and NIL may lure big players to smaller school. Hell, I think I saw Charlie Batch offering a 1M from his group for the OU transfer to not go to Texas and go to E. Michigan. Congrats to Georgia, at the very least brings a little parity back to the SEC.
