No ****? I had a weird feed that day. The game just kept going to a blue screen and there was no explanation as to what was happening. Not a word about lightning.

You know, they make electric socks, gloves, vests hats nowadays. My cousin wears them out on the pipelines in winter. He says as long as you also do some layering, he stays warm for his whole shift. So, I bought the socks and vest this Winter. Nice and warm.
Nothing to keep folks from doing the same if they are going to be sitting around in a football stadium on a freezing day. Spend some of the money you'd be using to drink cold *** beer in subzero weather on items that might just keep you warm enough to enjoy the game.

Actually slash, the products out there, NOT ALL, but reputable products are nearly fool-proof. Milwaukee makes a great line of jackets / vests / etc….. we use them and have yet to even have a small problem.
Socks are a little different story, if you get electric socks, be sure it is easy to turn on and off conveniently as they have a tendency to over heat and feet sweat. Most electric socks are powered by two “D” cell batteries so not high risk.
Lastly, I have a pair of heated pants as well, hardly ever wear them b it they have worked A-ok the two times I have.

There's a very easy solution to extreme weather games IMO.
Play them in a neutral DOME. Monetary dividends can be given to the allocated home team just as if they would still be taking in the revenue of a home game.
The only disadvantage, if you call it that, would be the home team representation by fans...

Agreed. Worse case is a state of emergency and the dome can make do as a safety shelter
Granted the dome is nearby neutral site that somehow gets affected lol

True I should have said select products. As I have medically coded a few different items. Always seemed to be hand or feet or electric heaters..

Yes, it was very clear when there was lightning and everyone in the stadium knew. I believe they waited until halftime the first time. I forget the second one, but the rain and wind that came soon after the stadium bowl cleared out was insane. The temperature dropped and all kinds of debris was flying around.
