Unfortunately, when you lock up a superstar to a mega contract, it destroys your ability to field a respectable team beside them. I would have hated to see TJ move on to another team, but these players just don’t understand that they would get more by taking less.

This is true to an extent, but we don't have huge contracts on offense like Bens this year. We have Watt, Minkah, and Heyward on D. Highsmith has shown to be good with Watt on the field. I think the biggest issue is drafting. We stink at drafting DBs, and have not done great at the Dline or LBs. Could be a coaching issue or just talent evaluation. We just can't afford to miss on guys like Bush.

I'd rather hand the play calling duties on offense to Flores and go the other route
Give him a 100k bonus every time we break the league average points scored (23) AND have at least 30 min TOP

At this point I think Flores could run the whole thing. If I did my math correctly, we're averaging 18 PPG. That won't work, and no kidding about giving the D a break.
