I agree that they will probably continue this trend of avoiding players who they consider "jersey walls" that produce little in the offensive backfield. Smith did not produce allot of tfl or sacks, on the other hand if you can collapse the pocket it will produce bigger results for the rest of the front seven if the qb constantly has to roll to our strength.The Steelers haven't had a true nose tackle since Casey Hampton. They don't care about the position and I don't think that changes in this draft either.
I'm guessing they will be looking for someone who is 6'3 or above and 285 to 310 in the first two days. Benton, Breese, Pickens, Orhorhoro, Morris, Tuipulotu and maybe Dexter and others. Obviously the combine will have some influence, after that I think they'll just make their decision on value and other needs/players available through the first four picks.
