Of all the bad calls

Thanks for both clips Coolie, spot on. REFs ****-ed that up big time.

We cvan’t control the officiating, but when you look at how many of these types of calls the STEELERS are involved in, then comparing that to the ****-ing chiefs,……….. one can see the favoritism.

The league / game is becoming less and less appealing to fans who hold integrity and fairness for all.

I had it as clear face mask on Harris. Opi. Down by contact. Watt offsides which was not sure of. And offsetting unsportsmanlike. That's 5 and at least 7 points should have been more. If that crew is honestly graded they got a 4 out of 10 for today. It was ***. Every Steelers game has to be excruciating and it felt like refs did their best to add to my anxiety.

I counted about 4 head scratchers that could have changed outcome. Broderick Jones got a penalty for being punched repeatedly. That would have made it first and goal

That one on Jones was absolutely horseshit. How does a guy get a foul for getting punched multiple times?

That kinda **** makes the league look like bullshit.

I don't know why they can't just call these games straight up. Call everything equal on everyone or remove the rule.

I guess you can't sway the games that way. The refs should never have so much influence over outcome. Not in a real sport anyway.

You either can't go three plays without a **** ing flag or they don't call **** with stuff going on constantly. The biggest being holding.See the Chiefs in the playoffs.

Then they cover for them on TV by not showing the infraction. T.J. Watt offsides nonsense.

If not for the Steelers and this being a lifelong thing for me,I'd never watch a single game of this crap.

They should have them take polygraph tests after each game.As some of these screw ups are so obvious it makes the fans who tend not to believe in conspiracies wonder. Did you purposely try to influence the outcome of the game? Too many times calls are one sided heavy. And in this game there was some very obvious screw ups. I would tend to say this in a win as in a loss people think we are trying to make excuses. So NFL get your **** together enough.

For those who have doubts and think the refs got this play right....Yeah, no.
TJ starts moving

He's still not in neutral zone and ball is snapped

You are demonstrably wrong. The C moves the ball immediately before TJ moves forward. The stills are not demonstrating that in the 2nd picture you posted, the C has already moved the ball.

C moves the ball, the defense can cross the neutral zone. That's the rule.

PFF grades players each play, each game.
Why doesn't someone grade refs similarly for calls good/bad, spots, penalties, etc?
That would only improve the integrity of the game and in games like yesterday's one could see the dramatic effect these calls had on the game score.

It would seem like the NFL ought to ensure it's own integrity, but we know they care about the narrative and marketing and not the objective facts/truth.

Cease and Desist letter is the first contact you would have, should you start this business adventure.

Guys, the NFL have partnered with Caesars Entertainment, DraftKings, and FanDuel. Do you think for one minute that there isn't a chance that betting lines influence games? There have always been bad calls, but in recent years it's been atrocious. People want to talk about the overly complicated rule book or interpretations as the culprits, but when an official can throw a flag to negate chunks plays that denies scoring opportunities or negates a strip sack turnover, with no repercussions from the league, you have to see that their influence is driven from something, someone.

The NFL policy of not being able to challenge judgment calls because they don’t want to undermine the officials is flawed. The moment a network airs a replay of a blown call the officials have been undermined.

Was it a conscience decision by the crew to show favoritism? I thought it was interesting that not one flag was thrown on Atlanta in the first half, and only in the 3rd quarter did they begin calling them. Maybe they got a call at halftime? In any case, it doesn't bode well for their reputation. If it weren't for the fact that games would be 6 hours long, I'd like to see every flag reviewed.

We should start a poll to see what happens more: refs missing a call, or Tomlin losing a challenge.

I thought the fix was in with all the calls going against the Steelers...but then they won the game outright by 8 points. So much for that theory.

Think of it another way. If the Refs hadn't thrown the flags as they did in the first half, how ugly would that score have potentially been considering the Falcons were 3.5 favorites.

Maybe they had Atlanta on the 1st half money line. lol

VIEWERSHIP

The big leagal money is in the TV contracts. I’m sure there are viewership clauses with-in those contracts.

More viewership, MO-money……….

Manipulation isn’t just about point spread and who wins, but you have to add in the fact of viewership. Close games keep the viewers viewing.
