Of all the bad calls

not that this one is any better

This one 'hurt', if you will, more because it keep the drive alive and they got the TD. Again, ATL, as I have been pleasantly reminded, could have ended w/ a goose egg, if DJ2 makes the early INT (he probably takes it back for a pick six) and this play stands...

You are demonstrably wrong. The C moves the ball immediately before TJ moves forward. The stills are not demonstrating that in the 2nd picture you posted, the C has already moved the ball.

C moves the ball, the defense can cross the neutral zone. That's the rule.
Either way - TJ was NOT offsides.

PFF grades players each play, each game.
Why doesn't someone grade refs similarly for calls good/bad, spots, penalties, etc?
That would only improve the integrity of the game and in games like yesterday's one could see the dramatic effect these calls had on the game score.

It would seem like the NFL ought to ensure it's own integrity, but we know they care about the narrative and marketing and not the objective facts/truth.

I thought the fix was in with all the calls going against the Steelers...but then they won the game outright by 8 points. So much for that theory.
The refs can show, easily, that they tilted the field for Atlanta; it's not on them that the Falcons lost and didn't cover.

this one is just terrible

Right??? Nice one to point out too as the broadcast seemed to be in on the fix too. Did y'all notice on this play they cut to the endzone view so it was indeterminate how far he actually travelled after NOT being down by contact? They did the same on Watt's supposed off-sides call, only showing the line up-to but not including the Center snap. WTH?

So once again, I want to know why they dont make called penalties challengeable?

Not missed penalties... missed or uncalled penalties can be devastating too, but to some extent players can still play through a hold or PI or facemask... you cant overcome a bad call. Its out of the players hands.

So if a guy causes PI to break up a pass, that cant be challenged, but if a guy doesnt even touch the wr, but he flops and gets a 50 yd PI call... you should be able to challenge that...

Under the current rules, you can only lose two challenges, so its not like its unlimited challenges for every penalty... though honestly, any penalty over ten yards should be instantly reviewed

Yeah....we are not in disagreement. I am saying that for anyone who thinks the refs were right in calling a neutral zone infraction, this is proof they are wrong. Yes, in the second picture the ball is underneath the center(the blurry thing is his hand not the ball) and TJ has still not reached the invisible line the front point of the football was at pre snap. That point/line being what defines the defensive side of the neutral zone.

It's lousy because the refs took a solid 3 really good, exciting plays away from the Steelers and lowered the overall entertainment value of the game. That isn't even mentioning the other missed calls.
