After what i thought was an improving play calling strategy from Matt Canada on Thursday - only 2 jet sweeps & only 1 alley-oop throw called - i am reminded that there are some real and significant deficiencies that are built into this offense.

"You don't want to keep running into a zone defender because that is how you get... decapitated."

Mixed bag that QB,OC,HC, and WR share blame.

Didn't like Kenny's inaccuracies early. Also though the rest of the mentions could still use to improve as well.

Oddly enough I probably give Canada a little more credit in this last matchup compared to the other factors.

Also I tilt a little more blame at least early towards Kenny. With the WRs sprinkled in throughout the game.

We might be on the verge of seeing a better offense moving forward. We'll see.

When the RBs are running well I expect a better QB performance (overall). If I am going to be fair in evaluating which I always lean, this is how I see it for that game...

Are the defenses we are going to play, better or worse than the titan’s defense. We didn’t play a real juggernaut in the Titans so our “O” should have naturally looked better. Just pointing that out.

Also want to point out that as crappy as our offensive coordinator is, we are still doing enough to win games, so go figure.

It was a better strategy, but its not like we are rewriting strategy books with our offense…

In this one Pickett held tge O back early more than tge staff… whether that was injury related or not is anyone’s guess…

Hoping it was the ribs cuz he looked extra inaccurate…but still somehow better than T-biscuit or Rudy so there's that

Hoping to never have to see Mitch again

Criticizing Canada has been more difficult in recent weeks, given there have been big plays or touchdowns to be made in the passing game that haven't been.

It hasn't just been Kenny missing throws, as Johnson dropped the deep ball on the first play against the Jaguars and Pickens failed to keep his feet in the end zone against the Titans.

Kenny's accuracy is becoming an enigma at this point, as I'm not sure how a QB who often misses the kinds of throws he does early in games somehow makes the kinds of throws he does later on when games are on the line.

It kind of feels like things are just a bit off with this offense and it could be a lot better than it is, especially when one sees what they're capable of in pressure situations late in games.

With that being said, "a bit off' may be an inherent trait of Canada's offense, given what we've seen of it since 2021.

This is also what I brought up during our win-stretch in the 2nd half of last year; we beat some pretty poor Ds during that stretch too. Right now, TN is 20th on D. Not a juggernaut.

There seems to be an overall lack of trust in the offense. There are so many things that go wrong on any given plays when plays are there for the taking, execution lacks. I'd like to see more belief from the coaches to the players to make big plays early in the game and the players to trust their own ability to make it happen.

I think a part of it is success instilling confidence in the scheme and there hasn't been much of that under Canada.

How many consecutive games now without 400 yards of offense?

The only positive is that barring some drastic turn around in overall scoring between now and the end of the season, we're nearing the end of the Canada era.

I didn't want to start a new thread for this...

Lebron James on Lakers slow starts: "We're like the Pittsburgh Steelers right now. You know what that means? The Pittsburgh Steelers right now have not outgained or outscored any of their opponents in this season right now and yet they've got a winning record."

Outscored.....

This is a highly intelligent comment from LeDone.

James they had to outscore 5 of their opponents to win.

He's dumber than a box of rocks, but he sure can play basketball.

Lol a few years back Denver drafted a kid named Knowshon Moreno. It was such an odd name that a reporter dug around to find out what it meant…

Turns out it was a combination of his parents names… his mom was something like “Shonna”
And his dad’s nickname was “knowledge”.
Apparently his dad got that name for the same reason people call a really fat guy “slim” and a tall dude “tiny”… his dad was dumber than a box pf rocks…

Every now and again, LeBron says something and I think to myself, “ that dude could definitely be called Knowledge…

The O has been at or near the bottom of every offensive category in the three years Duh has been OC, with three different QB’s including a first-ballot Hall of Famer.
I REALLY want a quote or insider information that Shades wants him back next year.
You know he does.
It will have to come down to Deuce and Omar to tell him, “Uh, no, this guy sucks and you don’t get to have him back.”

That so much reminds me of a wacky name one of my employees had.

Upon first meeting her she introduced herself as "Lasagna".
I thought to myself "the Italian dish?" I assumed I didn't hear it correctly and kindly asked her to repeat.

She once again said "Lasagna". I repeated "Lasagna?"
She said yes.
I thought to myself... ooookie dokie
"Nice to meet you Lasagna".

It turned out her name was spelled LaSonya.

The pronunciation between LaSonya and Lasagna is nearly identical. Who the **** names their kid that.

I didn’t watch much KP in college. Did he always have a noodle arm? Or can the guy zing the ball down field?
