Count me as someone happily wrong about last weeks game. The biggest concern I have about this game is more injuries. Two first round picks and what at least used to be our top corner lost in one game. I expect us to roll while giving up a garbage TD late - say 27 - 14.
Next 4 games are critical. These are the type of games we have lost the last 2 years causing us to go 8-8. You have to beat the teams your are supposed to beat if you want an extended season.
We break the cycle of self abuse:
Steelers 32
Suckaneers 12
This game is going to be much closer than what people expect. Folks we just lost 3 defensive starters in last weeks game....that is UNREAL and will have an impact on the game. Throw in the fact that the Bucs were embarrassed on TNF and will be getting Martin back and a couple guys that can get after the QB and we are going to have a mess on our hands. Just because I am a Steelers fan I will go with 27-24 Steelers but a loss would not surprise me at all. This is a stone cold lead pipe lock if you are a betting man and take the points. You can thank me later....lol.
24-17 good guys. Close throughout, but we pull away in the 4th
I agree with others- this is DEFINITELY no cake walk. We lost 3 starters on D, they have 2 big *** WR's, and theyve had 10 days to think about that TNF massacre.
However, the offense and the running game definitely put us over the top.
Didn't seem to make a decisive difference over the remainder of the game (after those starters went out) with an opponent that was widely picked to roll over the Steelers. TB is an 0-3 team that scares no one at this point. The only way the Steelers should lose this game is if they play down to the competition. If they come out like they did against Carolina, it'll be a slaughter. More so if they can rein in the sloppy penalties.
We score a quick touchdown then it settles down. They torch our CBs but somehow we hold them to 2 TDs and a FG. Ben relies more on the run and L&L finally wear the Bucs down and score two running touchdowns.
Coach Tomlin needs to convince this team that the Bucs are 3-0 so they play scared and tough.
I think all the injuries are going to hurt and with the Yucks coming off such a bad loss they will be out for blood and we always play down to our competition.
Playing a fairly veteran team coming off an embarrassing loss. We also have a young defense which is about one injury from being depleted. Probably will take 30 pts from the offense to win.
I hate to say it but I told you all. Tomlin hasn't a clue as to what it takes to prepare a professional football team to compete.
They'll lose to the Jags too, I hate it like everybody else but reality bites.
They will not lose to the Jags...they are the epitome of an average football team coached by a less than average coach..up and down up and down...next week is the up week
