My bad... Friday snuck up on me.

We put 20 on the Ravens - think we can do more than that against the 'bolts. Vick has had time to work more with the first team "O". New kicker chips in as well.

Chargers beat the Brownies 30-27 last week. Our D is better that Cleveland's and our 'O' is better that Cleveland's.

I do not like the matchup for the suspect Steelers' secondary, and the west coast has not been accommodating for Steelers teams over the years.

Steelers - 27
Chargers - 17

Another decent game by Vick. Bell goes a little crazeeeeeeeee with 200+ all purpose yards and a TD. And, the new kicker gets his feet wet.

After a blown home game thanks to bad coaching and poor field goal kicking, the Steelers travel to the West coast to play the Chargers in a night game.

For whatever reason the Steelers do not play well on the West Coast. I get they are road games but I've seen too many flat performances out there.

At 2-2, with the Bengals being 4-0, we can't afford to lose this game. If we do that will be 0-3 vs AFC teams, with at least two of the teams that beat us in contention for the wild card spots. This game is very important. A loss here combined with a Bengals win means we have to think Wild Card and are behind the 8 ball in the wild card race.

While the defensive pass rush has been better than expected, I think coverage units are bad. The defensive rating is a mirage built upon playing two bad offenses, an average offense without its receivers, and one very good offense. When we play teams with better than average QB, the offense needs to score often. Rivers in my opinion will rip the defense apart if the pass rush isn't in his face.

Vick wasn't good enough last week. He will need to be better this week, and have better play calling. So far my record on HGO outcomes is 4-0.

Outcome: Chargers 23, Steelers 17

Hero: Bell. 22-115 yards 1 TD. Please give him the ball on 3rd or 4th and short this time!

Goat: Coaching ( time out management . adjustments / 4th down decisions ) , Blake ( I think he will give up a lot of yards and a score ) and Boswell ( who will miss a field goal )

Get well soon Ben!

This probably is the first time I have them losing in a prediction thread. Hope I'm wrong

I zoned out after this part...

It was a blown home game. Biggest comeback in something like 11 years, marred by bad coaching calls. Did you watch the game or " zone out "

If Ben was back, I think we win. Now if we were in Germany....

Why not mention the dropped TD by our beloved AB? I didn't see any reference to Scobee's TWO missed FG's - or does the "blown game" terminology summize all of the shortcomings in the game???

No Martavis leaves us with no real deep threat and Vick is poor at the short , quick passing game. Couple that with our poor west coast record.

Like Coach or hate him, he's right. It was a blown home game.

There were a bunch of reasons it was blown, but in the end, it was totally blown...

And their backs are against the wall on a trip across the country in a prime time, must-win game. Unfortunately, the Bolts are also pretty close to a must-win situation, but they're at home and have their starting QB. I would like to think Tomlin has a plan, but he's taught me not to have much faith in him. The spread is +3, I expect that's probably pretty close. I sincerely hope the Steelers prove that utterly wrong.

In a real squeaker, trailing late in the 4th 20 to 9, the Steelers rally on a Dri Archer KR for a TD. Ensuing kickoff Shamrko Thomas forces a fumble and recovers for a TD to take the lead. The defense then seals the deal as Cam Thomas and Jarvis Jones combine to sack Rivers for a safety. Our new kicker makes 3 FG's early but coach cool shades cuts him the next day, citing the need to "not settle for FG's" and "the proof in the pudding" about Archer et.al coming around. An explosion is heard in Pittsburgh as Steeler Nation Collectively losses its mind . . .

Steelers: 25
Hope they DONT BOLT to LA: 20

SQUEAK, SQUEAK i tell you, SQUEAK!

Agree with most but as many on here have overlooked, another key reason we lost was the easy TD catch that AB dropped in the endzone. That and the ensuing penalty on the o-line caused us to not even get a field goal at a key point in the game. AB easily catches that ball 9 out of 10 times.
