Official Steelers/Chargers week 5 predictions

Chargers 28 Steelers 21. West Coast game, mediocre coaching, suspect defense. Maybe Bryant can help but I'm not confident.

We win this, utalization of our weapons will take presidence over piss poor coaching decisions. All you mama boys, thinking rivers is all that, will be disapointed. Heyward-bey has been doing an OK job while MB has been gone. Vick will have much more time / practice than last start. LeVeon is back and ready. rust is off. Our offense will put up some points. Our "D" will hassel philipee.

He doesn't scare defenses, doesn't demand a double team.and doesn't shift coverages away from Brown. He is fast but teams don't game plan for him and when he does get open deep he drops more than he catches. He also runs a limited route tree as opposed to Bryant and his catch radius is a lot smaller a huge factor when you consider Vicks inaccuracy issues. Vick also seems to have great chemistry with Bryant .
 
Until Vick can prove he can put up 200+ passing yards...

Stop blaming it on 84! The ball was thrown from a left handed QB to a right handed receiver. It was spinning backwards. Not AB's fault! It was a reverse spin. Who could have known these physics would have such an impact on the game. I blame physics for last week's loss. Not Coach Cool Shades or Coach Hedonism. Not the kicker, a catch, or a better coached Ravens team. (Bitter pill there).

More proof? The wind and gravitational pull on Scobee's kicks...??? What? What? That's right. F*cking physics!. I hate you physics. Stay out of football! Whew! I feel better.

Check again. I said blown field goals too. The come back happened long after the very reliable brown dropped a pass.

Stevie Johnson is out for the Chargers and that's a big loss for them. Floyd is a big WR and Keenan Allen is kind of a possession guy. Johnson is the type of quick WR that burns the steelers.

With Ben, i think this is a blowout for the Steelers. With Vick, i don't know. He does suck after all. I mean he's a veteran so reading a defense should be his strength, but Vick still can;t read a defense because he never bothered to learn his craft.

The Chargers LBs can't hope to cover Bell. I hope to see more 2 RB formations. Vick won't read a defense anyway, so why bother with spreading the field with WRs that he won't throw to? Vick is a one read QB.

The 2 RB sets can make things very easy for Vick. You can add read option to it. You can make it a triple option out of shotgun. First read is the dive up the middle if the DE stays at home. If the DE crashes down the line, then Vick pulls the ball out and runs to the corner whilc the second RB follows at pitch distance. Now you read the LB or DB coming to fill. If he goes at the QB, you pitch to the RB. If he goes to the RB then Vick keeps.

The advantage the steelers have in using option like this is, who cares if Vick breaks a leg. Sounds harsh but it's true. The option has gone away because teams don't want to lose their QB to injury. If Vick got hurt, it's not like it would sink the season. The Steelers would just play Landry or pick up a guy off the street who is better.

I think the steelers will be able to run the ball and Bell will be open out of the backfield all night. This should open up enough easy throws that Vick can't screw it up too much. He should be able to make enough plays to win.

Allen is more than a possession guy. He has been lighting it up this year. 100+ yards and multiple TD games. We will need to get pressure on Rivers and play decent coverage to keep them from scoring a lot.
