Oh boy....Dwyer arrested for domestic violence

All the owners love Rog. Even Pepsi called him "a man of integrity". He makes them all tons of money. Like Spygate, this too will pass(under the carpet).

Anyone on God's earth could make NFL owners money. The product sells itself; we're all latched onto the NFL to some degree. Everyone watches, everyone talks about it, most of them play fantasy, some of them have season tix. A shaved ape could rake in the cash as commissioner.

They won't hesitate to dump Goodell if the tide calls for it.

I saw in a news article the ex-gov Ed Rendell would like to have turn at ruining...er running the NFL.

Personally, I think NFL players are being "targeted". As it has been stated above, this supposedly happened two months ago...IMO, people are looking for quick "pay days". I'm not saying that all of these guys are innocent; but, something just isn't right lately...

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – According to reports, Arizona Cardinals running back Jonathan Dwyer has been arrested for domestic violence.

Sports reporter Tyler Baldwin first reported the news Wednesday afternoon.

According to source: Cards RB Johnathan Dwyer was just arrested for domestic violence @azfamily

Dwyer was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft.

He played college football at Georgia Tech.

Dwyer was released by the Steelers prior to the start of the 2013 season. He signed with the Cardinals in March of last year.

Dwyer, 25, is listed as the No. 2 running back on the Cardinals’ depth chart.

He has rushed for 51 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries over two games this season.

Dude looks like he slimmed down quite a bit since he left the Steelers.

My one armed **** flinging monkeys are rolling in the dough lately. The "rog" has been investing heavily on rental. Only thing is he thinks he is smarter than my monkeys, so goes a different direction every time.

Salute the nation

There will, undoubtedly, be some of this. OTOH, there will be some who keep quiet because they have no ******* clue what The Rog will do to their financial stream.

See, with The Rog, you never know what you get. Is just the charge of DV count as something that will get you suspended? What about an arrest with charges dropped? How about an indictment or does it have to be a conviction? Knowing The Rog like we all do, it may be one thing one day and another thing another day.

I'd imagine there are a ton of DV calls answered by police where there may be an arrest made, but no charges ever pressed (for multiple reasons). If I understand correctly, the police are now required (maybe only in some places) to remove, or escort, the person from the premises.

how will The Rog react in knee-jerk fashion when a player calls for the popo to remove a female acquaintance (wife, girlfriend, etc) only to have that person return to the player's home and actions repeat whereby the player restrains himself from RayRiceing a ***** but continues to "take her back"?

PHOENIX -- Arizona Cardinals running back Jonathan Dwyer head-butted his wife and broke her nose after she refused his sexual advances, and punched her in the face the next day, police said Thursday.

The details surfaced Thursday in a law enforcement report a day after Dwyer was arrested on aggravated assault charges and deactivated from all team activities. He spent a night in jail and briefly appeared in court before being released early Thursday.

............

Dwyer was arrested Wednesday for investigation in two altercations that occurred on July 21 and 22 at his Phoenix residence, just days before the Cardinals reported to training camp. His wife left the state after the incidents but came forward a week ago after Dwyer apparently sent suicidal text messages including a photo of a knife.

In the first encounter, police say Dwyer attempted to kiss and undress his wife, but she refused. Someone who heard the argument reported the assault to police, who showed up at the apartment but did not make an arrest. Dwyer hid in a bathroom and the wife denied he was in the home because the running back threatened to kill himself in front of her and their child if she told police about the assault, police said.

The next day, Dwyer punched his wife with a closed fist on the left side of her face, according to police. He also punched walls and threw a shoe at his son, listed as 17 months old, who was not injured.

As his wife tried to call police, Dwyer grabbed her cellphone and threw it down from the home's second story. Witnesses told police that Dwyer's wife said, "I'm calling the police," as she held her swollen face and clutched her son.

Problem with you theory as that most of these guys are being found/pleading guilty.

oh.........from the link I posted above

Dwyer, 25, was booked into Maricopa County Jail on one count of aggravated assault causing a fracture, one count of aggravated assault involving a minor, two counts of criminal damage, one count of preventing the use of a phone in an emergency, and assault.

He was freed on a $25,000 cash bond and ordered to wear an electronic monitoring device. He also cannot have contact with the alleged victims, cannot travel outside of Arizona and cannot have involvement with weapons, drugs or alcohol.

that would go against the NFL's uniform policy. thus, he HAD to be deactivated.

If this is true, dwyer needs to be locked up, talk about a huge piece of ****

yea, he may never play another down in the NFL. Assbag. I take back my "piling on" post. Things you find out about people. Geez!

Holy ****, it's about time someone gets it. I'd be watching regardless of who the commish was, hell, most of us were nfl/Steeler fans in the 70's, we're still watching, even with all the way's he's ****** the game up, but I'm not sure how long that will go on. The league was mega popular when he took over, and even with the shitheaded moves he's made, it's still making money hand over first. Imagine how it would be doing of there were someone leading it that wasn't a complete ******* asshat.

Joe

Oh, and **** Dwyer, he was worthless on the field most times, and it looks like he might be more than worthless off it. He just ****** up the chance his limited talent got him.

Joe

Well maybe he got laid in jail. The other thing to keep i mind with this kid is he did have some mental issues that he was being treated for with different drugs. Contrary to popular belief drugs may not be the great benefit many people think they are, both the legal and illegal variety.

If it happened in July there may have actually been do diligence by the prosecutor and police to investigate this. It likely involved doctors and the reports that they would need to generate and then the involvement of the prosecutors office before issuing warrants. Follow up investigations may have also taken place. So this may be the one where justice is running its course and knee jerk media events are not running the show.

**** that. We demand immediate justice. Suspend him now

He deserves no mercy, if this is true.

The real question is, "why does someone from the NFL live in an apartment"???

over under on the amount of guys that texted the article on this to their wives mentioning it as something to think about around bed time?

and yes I realize it is a serious issue and Dwyer deserves the book to be thrown at him on this one...

I wish the general public were as interested and outraged at the sins of congress and the fed govt as they are in professional athletes.

Put their every move and word on CNN with reporters in a feeding frenzy and it make peak people's interest.
