Ok hold on now, Maybe we need to increase global warming! Winter Is Coming!

Woo-hoo!

it's over!

They cured Global Warming!

Glad that's over with, we never have to hear about it again.

If every rich country just hands over 1 billion every year for the next 30 years to poor countries then Global Warming is Solved!!!

That means we never have to talk about it again - I am so glad to hear this.

Climate Skeptics on ‘historic’ UN treaty: ‘Does this mean we never have to hear about ‘solving’ global warming again!?’

Climate Depot's Marc Morano: 'Now that the United Nations has officially 'solved' man-made global warming, does this mean we never have to hear about 'global warming' fears again!? Does this mean we can halt the endless supply of federal tax dollars funding 'climate change' studies? Does this mean we can stop worrying about 'global warming's' ability to end civilization and cause wars, and increase prostitution, bar room brawls, rape, airline turbulence, etc.? Can we finally move on to other issues? I spent the last week in Paris marveling at how so many believe a form of modern witchcraft:

That a UN agreement or EPA climate regulations can alter Earth's temperature and the level of storms. "We had one UK scientist, Philip Stott, who has said there are quite literally hundreds of factors governing global climate. For the UN to pick one politically-selected factor -- CO2 -- and then try to tweak it at the margins and then come up with some temperature goal 50 -100 years in the future, is akin to scientific nonsense.

But now I realize that if they truly believe the UN has solved 'climate change' even skeptics should rejoice! Now that the UN treaty has 'solved' global warming, can we all just move on to something else?'

It's so warm today but I can't help thinking about all the fossil fuels not being burned as the furnaces and boilers sit idle. That has to be good. Right?

Which is what I've been saying the entire time. The idea that .000001 PPM of .01 concentration of CO2 which only 5% of the .000001 is from humans is absolutely asinine.

Non-binding, no enforcement policy - not worth the paper it's printed on...a billion dollar 2 week vacation in Paris for nothing

Kerry Says Paris Agreement Crafted To Avoid Congress

John Kerry said Sunday the climate agreement reached this week in Paris did not contain any enforcement provisions because Congress would not have approved them.

"It doesn't have mandatory targets for reduction and it doesn't have an enforcement, compliance mechanism," Kerry said

Kerry said such mechanisms were not included because Congress would have refused to greenlight the deal.

Binding legal requirements would have made the Paris agreement a treaty, requiring approval from two-thirds of the Senate. Because no climate change measure could close to the high bar in the chamber, the Paris deal was written to avoid it

“As long as fossil fuels appear to be the cheapest fuels out there, they will continue to be burned.” Professor Hansen said. The burning of fossil fuels is a sticking point for resource-poor nations heavily dependent on their use. Professor Hansen went to Paris, where the talks were held, and again suggested a “fee” of $15 for every tonne of carbon emitted, with the funds distributed to residents of the respective countries on a per capita basis. That would mean each legal adult resident of the United States, for example, would get about $2,000 as an apology from the government for breaking the agreement and allowing emissions to continue, while a family with two or more children would get about $6,000 a year. Not surprisingly, such measures were not included in the UN’s published agreement.

bolded my favorite part.

Well, it's just as debunked that choosing "15 years" just magically takes you back to the last big El Nino when temperatures were REALLY high (just like this year).

The truth is (and what I believe of course, why would you believe something that is not true?) is that climatologists can pretty accurately predict how events like solar flares, volcanoes and other natural phenomenon affect global temperatures. BULLSHIT -- seafloor spreading is the largest release of pent up nasty gases and there is no accuracy whatsoever. You could look it up.
But since 1950, those predictions no longer hold true. For "some reason" when volcanic eruptions pushed down temperatures throughout history, they aren't pushing down temperatures as much anymore. For some reason when solar flares and El Nino's and whatever else happens, temperatures are HIGHER than predicted. Simple: predictive models that are wrong have erroneous assumptions.

The only logical reason is human intervention with burning fossil fuels. That's the only logical answer. No, it is the only one you want to think of. Because you have convinced yourself, as above in line 1: "I believe". Scientists don't believe, and don't need to have consensus (see Galileo). The complex system that is our earth and atmosphere is simply beyond our understanding and comprehension at this point. Just because humans don't understand doesn't mean that there must exist a bogeyman -- CO2 to provide some sort of satan to the believers like you. Very, very unsophisticated.

In my opinion (and many scientists from around the world -- you mean priests of your faith), there is enough evidence to change our patterns of burning fossil fuels. We don't have to know EXACTLY what's going to happen and when to err on the side of caution. I fully agree that policy change should be fair to America and take into consideration our economic well being. I fully agree we shouldn't be pushovers and allow China and India to do whatever the hell it wants and only US/Europe enact change. And yet that is what the politicians just agreed to. What a joke.

But I also think taking a laissez faire attitude and let everyone do whatever the hell they want is dead wrong for this planet. If we are to continue to be world leaders as a military and diplomatic power, then we also have to lead by example in changing our policy of fossil fuel use and pollution. I think we can do it in an effective way and not impact our economic growth. No one ever said that better efficiency and less pollution was bad. It is clear that most of your faith lack this simple cognizance.

When I was younger, I used to think that the eventual scarcity of fossil fuels would increase costs and alternative energy sources would "take over" via economic factors. But the scary predictions of oil reserves back in the 1980's proved way false. And the technology of fracking and shale gas has revolutionized the fossil fuel market (and helped the environment to some degree I might add). Now it appears there is no end in sight to the prospect of cheap fossil fuel energy. At least not in the next 20-30 years. So you, and many scientists have been wrong before. Not really surprising huh?

But that amount of cheap energy via fossil fuels scares me as a conservationist and environmentalist. Stop listening to your priests. Learn math and the scientific method.
If the US has to do twice as much to convince India, China, Pakistan, SE Asia and emerging markets in Africa to do HALF as much, then maybe that trade off is what is best for the Earth and buys science more time to correctly predict what might be happening to the Earth from fossil fuel use. Dumbass, the earth is a static system. All the inputs come from within. Conservation of energy and all that. The only external factor is that giant glowing yellow thing, the one that bogus climate hucksters forget to include in their necessarily incorrect models. Read that again: the only external force in the earth's closed loop system is the sun!

I'm not saying I know all the answers, but I am just as skeptical of your chosen scientists and skeptics saying THEY know the answers as well. In fact, I highly doubt your opinion that man is not affecting global temperatures or climate change will have no impact on civilization. If I was a betting man (and if anyone here had to bet their house on it), I'd say it's something in the middle. We are definitely headed towards global temperature changing 1-2 degrees over the next 50 years IMO. And you cite your incorrectness just above. NEXT!
And I disagree with people that think that will have no impact on humanity or ecosystems. Just because we don't have 100% of the answers doesn't mean we shouldn't do anything. That is a path I'm not going to vote for or support in a candidate. Who said anything like that? Just because some folks understand science and math, and call bullshit on frauds like you doesn't mean those people want less efficiency and more pollution. Are you that thick?

I don't believe in the "conspiracy" of a vast majority of scientists that think man is impacting our environment via fossil fuel use. And I don't believe that just burning more and more because it's cheap to gain short-term economic growth (both here and around the world) is the correct course of action. You are truly arrogant. Amazingly blinded by your incorrect understanding and faith in the Climate Financiers game.

What a bunch of garbage

i've never seen something posted online that exhibited every single facet of racism dripping from the font characters as I have with this. You should be ashamed, mocked and ridiculed for having posted something so outlandishly arrogant that it perverts the very definition of racism into a new, unchartered level - of which if it hadn't been for you, we'd have never seen in our lifetime. Please pull your white hooded sheet down and exit the forum. I bid you good day. Sir, I say I bid you. a. good. day.

What if the entire warming and cooling trends of the earth, throughout history, could be most ably described by the movement of the plates? Essentially, giant farts build up deep in the earth, emerging as SBDs (seafloor spreading) or high pitched monsters (Mt. St. Helens) or rumbly, grumbly moist ones (earthquakes and the aftershocks)?

Far more likely than cow farts or SUV offgassing.

Japan, S Korea plan 61 new coal plants in next 10 years, despite global climate deal

Less than a week since signing the global climate deal in Paris, Japan and South Korea are pressing ahead with plans to open scores of new coal-fired power plants, casting doubt on the strength of their commitment to cutting CO2 emissions.

Even as many of the world's rich nations seek to phase out the use of coal, Asia's two most developed economies are burning more than ever and plan to add at least 60 new coal-fired power plants over the next 10 years.

Officials at both countries' energy ministries said those plans were unchanged.

In India, the electrical transformers are just open and unsafe.

Supposedly thousands of people die each year in India due to accidental electrocutions. It's just incomprehensible to western civilization how human death is accepted in places with that much population and poverty. Losing children is something EVERYONE goes through. They just accept it, move on and have more kids.

It's literally insane.

It's kind of like they're herds of goats. Except they all have customer service phone jobs.
