On the blocking

always an excuse and when Ben's stats aren't on par with them it's "look at his stats compared to theirs"
so him having a higher completion % is a bad thing now?

Its quite simple to understand why his completion pct is higher...he usually takes less risks but he takes more sacks and more punishment than some other QBs. An incompletion is better than a sack...especially if it knocks you out of FG range. Im sure those others would have high completion pctgs if they moved around the pocket for 3 extra seconds waitin for a receiver to clear by 5 yards

the reason his completion percentage is higher is because he completes a higher percentage of his passes.....it really is simple....

That sack against the 3 man rush was ALL on Ben. Dude had at least 8 seconds to 'purvey' the entire field, either throw it away or run it yourself.

If you watch it again- he quite literally runs into the defender.

he is on par with Brady in completion percentage (around 63.5)
If you count every sack as an incompletion Bens numbers drop to around 59%, Bradys adjusted the same way to slightly over 60%... its not that significant... with the same adjustment he still leads over most QBs he does now... Eli's Flaccos % drops to around 56% Rodgers, who is ahead of him at 66% drops to 61%... all of them have had significantly better lines than ben in his career

they didn't get sacks but late in the game they got enough pressure to rush the throws and get off the field on 3rd down......

getting sacked 5 times, and our defense recorded 0
5 Defensive starters out and the water boys dressing as backups. There's not a lot of pass rushing when the remaining 6 of the core defense are working their ***** off. Be thankful it was the Titans and not the Bengals, Chiefs and Saints. Those games are still to be determined.

On watching the line play I saw two guys that stood out for doing a good job in last nights game, DeCastro made some great blocks and routinely pursued the play and blasted someone on the pile or about to be on the pile prior to the whistle, that was a common theme for him. Heath Miller made some great blocks as well many of which sprung Bell. I saw Pouncy standing there not engaged many times as well as that dumbass Gilbert leaving an open lane for a delayed Blitz that got Ben blasted.

There still needs to be some more work on this unit before they get to the next level. In comparison Tenn's line played rather well, handling McCullers on most occasions as well as nearly everyone else although they had some real noticeable non calls from the zebras.

Not sure handling McCullers during his limited snaps qualifies a line for the pro-bowl.

Themz your words not mine....i never said **** about his completion pctg being a bad thing. Hes making easier throws because of his method of waiting til the receivers have clear separation. Its smart football because its less risk which is why Ben usually has very good TD-INT ratios.....the problem comes when the field shrinks. Hes gonna hold the ball and take the sack (and more punishment) if he cant find that clean open receiver. So, instead of netting a TD or a first down and sustain a drive we end up punting or kicking a FG. If Ben were accurate hed be the most elite QB in the modern game with his elusiveness, strength combination

Brady and Manning can't move like Ben, comp% is comp% I don't care what the reason is, i'll take a higher comp% over a lower one.

Never said that it did, it seemed he was handled by the center and did not require a double team.

he drove the center back on a few occassions, but the play went to the outside, he wasn't spectacular, but was solid in his few snaps

At least they didn't block each other like the gators did! Did anyone catch that on the pregame?

Hilarious!!! I know Coach Munchak sees these guys everyday - so, I'll leave it to the man getting paid to assemble the best OL to do his job. They made the necessary adjustments after the half to reduce the sacks and pressure on Ben (but, we must realize that "Ben will continue to be Ben", hence the result may equate to el sacko)...

Why did it take 2Qs to figure out the solution to the blitz? Is haley that pig headed that he thinks u can keep passing? In game adjustments are not his strength.

hmmmm...they made adjustments and controlled the game from mid third quarter on.......sometimes you have to see the defense a few times to figure out how to beat them.....

you ******* are pissed they didn't figure it out sooner...the fact that they figured it out in time to adjust and win the game is meaningless....******* haters

I think the fact that they did adjust and figure out something that worked is a huge improvement, how many times have we seen them unable to do that.

I can't imagine why Whiz didn't figure out what we were doing to him in the 4th Q and adjust.

Uh, we were running the ball down their throat. Not much adjusting you can do against that other than put more men in the box and that may not work.
I will never accept the "it's a passing league" mentality when you can do what Bell did on Monday night.

The reason you hear the phrase "its a passing league" is youre seeing numbers like never before...when a QB throws 50 TDs in a season...when a QB throws for half a grand in a game....when a QB drops back 47 times in a game. The leauge has set up offenses (with rule changes) to flourish, especially with passing offenses, because when u drop back to throw a pass, five things can happen (four of em good). Running doesnt earn you roughing penalties, or interference or personal foul infractions. Passing will.

So only one bad thing can happen? Which of the following is not bad: interception, incompletion, sack, strip,
and if your going to count personal fouls on running plays, then throw in intentional grounding.

The Titans copied the Jets and brought some stunting blitzers and extra guys that threw Ben off. Ben looked uncomfortable in the pocket at times and with the weather I wouldn't want to get whacked into the ground hard either. We were fortunate to escape with a win.

Just a hunch, but I suspect the adjustments are not as simple as everyone would like to make them out to be. In looking at things the titans likely had several different looks they were bringing guys from and getting some plays that would work against the many possibilities takes a bit of time. Unlike knowing exactly what blitz the defense is calling as the cheatriots have done. I suspect it takes a bit of time to come up with an adjustment that will work and then get the players ready to implement it. I am sure it is much faster on madden football. There is nothing to indicate that the whiz did not try adjustments to stop it, but it is also possible that the players he had were unable to do so. It also shows that the titans were more afraid of the passing game than the running game and were hoping for a break or a chance for a last possession.

They have been weak against the run all season and it is unlikely to expect them to be able to stop it now. A trend like that is more indicative of personnel than anything else if you are convinced your scheme is up to it. With Ray Horton as your defensive coordinator I am inclined to agree.
