Will Arod continue to play great against a team he is less familiar with?
Will the Oline learn to block?

Will the Defense be an Efense again!

This week we face the thunderous seattle seagulls or something... they will be doing the dreaded west to east coast trip

Our two chief division Rivals are facing meh squads, Cleveland and Jacksonville , both at home... so a win ensures we keep pace with them both likely winning

Its a low grade game when tiebreakers are considered, an NFC game we don't share with our division rivals.

The SeaTweeties are 0-1 Sam Darnold isn't looking spiffy thus far... hopefully our D isn't the cure for his ails...

Our chief injury concerns are at the S position... if Elliot is out they may need to sign a bigger name FA

It's a game we should win. JSN seems to be their whole offense. I don't see Rodgers repeating his performance, but he shouldn't have to. Both lines need to step up, but Darnold is not a threat to run and their RB is not as good as Hall

If the rumors about looking at Tyreek Hill as our #2 are true they better pull out the stops to get him. The reason I say this is Rodgers will not be able to repeat this performance if the Seahawks(or later in the season against someone else) are a good man to man team(I don't keep up with them). We have DK and that's it. Unless CA3 has improved exponentially and Roman Wilson has as well we are going to be in deep poo offensively. They will be shutdown when we run into a good man team and just leave AR with DK.

Aaron Rodgers won that game yesterday. I know, I know Boz...yeah of course Boz but in reality AR carried the team yesterday and that can't continue.

We had bad O-line play that gave up 4 sacks
We had NO run game to speak of
We had NO run defense to speak of

The Jets won that game by all metrics. I was over at PFF looking at the stats, it was so lopsided if you look at those stats and didn't know the final score you would say 100% the Jets won.

Rodgers was not brought here to carry the Steelers the way that atrocious Jet team of 23-24 demanded of him, but that's exactly what he had to do yesterday. He's 41 going on 42...the Steelers coaching staff better get their **** together quick and get him some legit # 2 help.

Broderick Jones really concerns me. I re-watched that game and man did Jones get abused. His footwork and mechanics looked horrible as he was off balance and had no chance against those speed rushers constantly getting pushed back into the QB.
This guy is a huge liability right now and I don’t know if he can fix his mechanics and footwork but they better do something or Rodgers is going to get injured.

As bad as Jones was, did you notice there was NO help given to him.?

Why not a TE chip here and there?

Pat Meyer is the worst OL coach round, but definitely a Tomlin yes man.

I hope B.Jones can work through this, despite the coaching ineptitude.

Salute the nation

It’s hard to acquire a player in season and get them on that moving train, especially with the historic special defense they will be joining.

Granted the train is only moving at 1-2 mph but hard to hop that train nonetheless with Mike as the conductor.

Where oh where will find a guy that can’t cover or tackle to seamlessly mesh into this historic defense? Maybe Senquez Golsen is finally healed up and game ready…maybe

It is not our coaching staff’s job to coach guys up, obviously

We require non blinking, finished products that are already aboard “the train”

What would you give up for Tyreek? Or what do ypu think is reasonable and whats the max you would do??

Calvin Austin got separation in Sunday. Roman shined on preseason. **** spending draft picks on tyreke

AI Generated, pretty good pre-view. but I feel this is going to be a lower scoring game than predicted.

Steelers: Strengths and Weaknesses

The Steelers enter Week 2 at 1-0, having squeezed past the New York Jets in a high-scoring opener (34-32). Their main strengths include:

  • Efficient passing attack: The Steelers tallied 218 passing yards with an impressive 8.1 yards per attempt in Week 1.
  • Scoring ability: Scored 34 points in their opener, showing quick-strike potential against unfamiliar defenses.
  • Takeaways: Positive turnover ratio last game, capitalizing on opponent mistakes.
However, the weaknesses were apparent:

  • Rushing inefficiency: Only 53 yards on 20 carries (2.7 yards per rush) suggests a vulnerable ground game.
  • Defensive lapses: Surrendered 400 total yards and 32 points, allowing 4.7 yards per rush and 9.9 per pass.
  • Possession issues: Controlled the ball for just 25:17, leaving their defense on the field too long.

Seahawks: Strengths and Weaknesses

The Seahawks are 0-1 after a gritty 17-6 home loss to the 49ers, but the stats reveal a tough, opportunistic defense:

  • Aggressive defense: Logged multiple sacks and forced turnovers against San Francisco.
  • Passing game upside: Averaged 236.5 passing yards per game last season, with several explosive plays.
  • Red zone defense: Held a potent 49ers offense to just 17 points.
Key weaknesses to monitor:

  • Offensive line woes: Allowed multiple sacks in the opener, a concern facing the Steelers' strong pass rush.
  • Rushing defense: Recently struggled to contain high-powered run games (allowed 4.6 yards per carry last season).
  • Turnover margin: Finished last season with a negative turnover ratio (-6), indicating a risk for giveaways.

Predicted Outcome and Score

Computer models, official stats, and Vegas set the Steelers as slim favorites at home (Steelers -2.5). Simulations and scoring averages provide the following likely final score:

  • Steelers 21, Seahawks 19.
Both defenses should dictate the tempo, and the outcome may hinge on which quarterback protects the ball and executes under pressure. Expect a low-scoring, physical contest where field position and turnovers could be decisive

Roman Wilson wasnt targeted Sunday and im not even sure made it to the field. I would say they definitely need to consider Tyrese hill as an option (assuming no legal issues pending) because clearly Roman Wilson is appearing more and more like hes not it. No other competent WR (that I know of) has taken this long to make an impact, or contribution of this type to his team especially at the position he was drafted.

Roman wilson was only on the field for 10 offensive snaps. 3rd wrs dont see the field much in arthur smiths offense

So why exactly would you want a 31 year old, small, expensive speedster? Hill is a fancy name, but his kind of WR doesn't have a long shelf life

And Austin had a top 25 day on Sunday... you would be giving up assets and cap space for basically the same style of player, just older

The only issue i would have is with the expensive part. His speed and route running still poses a problem for opposing defenses so much so that they can't double any 1 other receiver and keep defenses honest in the run game.

If the Steelers can get the Dolphins to pay the guaranteed part of his contract i would definitely give them a third and a fourth if the Steelers have it. Im not quite sure of the Steelers picks next year so Im sure I may recant that even though it may be far too little anyway.

Spot on

Barely have enough reps go around for Muth, Smith, Washington and CA3 to split.

All the TEs are only getting around 30 snaps each.

Sure don’t need an over the Hill WR to bury CA3, and Wilson is barely even sniffing the field.

So if Seattle boasts a solid pass rush that will be another test for the OL which will likely yield a steady dose of Gainwell and Warren with little work for Johnson cuz they’re going to require efficient pass blockers protecting Rodgers again.

Looks like another game where the rook will get scraps at best. He better pick up pass pro quickly if we wants to sniff the field cuz after putting his return attempt on the turf not sure how much work he’ll get back there either.

It was refreshing the one carry KJ got they still tried that power toss that always made Naj look like ****.
That play is so obvious and easily defended yet they keep trying it.

Seattle’s OLine looked horrible. We have guys that can get the sacks. Let’s switch it up for a change. Instead of laying back between the 20 yard lines (bend don’t break) let’s go out aggressive. We sit back so much. Move the guys around. Blitz, blitz and more blitz. I’m too lazy to look up what our D has given up yard wise the last 6 games. But it’s not working. Almost 400 yards to the Jets!Maybe Sam Darnold recognizes the aggressive play and gets some quick strikes. Hopefully then some adjustments can be made. Let’s frigging be aggressive fora change. Watching our 2 ILB’s on Sunday,I just shook my head all game.
