JPJ is Steelers ROTY. Any other year it's Broderick Jones (I could have lived with co-winners) and in a bad year it's Benton. Herbig looks like a very good rotational player that could develop and the TE Wahington sees field as an extra blocker. 5 guys who see field first season. Very good.

I agree. I have a lot of faith in them now compared to a fading Colbert.

So here is the thing I think the team shouldn't take BPA's off the board at QB. They have to fortify the position for the future even if Kenny manages to improve in the off-season. If one is there in 1, an attractive option I feel they need to pull the trigger...

I do not believe they will do that. I think they go Corner, 3-4 DE, C or wr. Best to fall.
I don't think they will do that either...but they should.

Yes, yes, all the more reason to keep Andy. The guy is very good at recognizing talent and I don’t want to lose him.

Those types you don't let go, you do what is needed to keep him..

You can't give him a bigger job so your hands are tied unless he doesn't get interest.
You can increase pay and give him an additional title. **** make one up I don't care just keep him.

Love the post. I wonder who the HC that signed of on these players???

Seriously, though, we've been getting better, depth-wise, and this year is a prime example.

This was a terrific draft class after a year.

Broderick Jones is beginning to turn into a tone setter for the offensive line. Not just his play, but his demeanor. I can't wait to get him back to his natural side.

Joey Porter Jr. quickly earned the CB1 job, one of the toughest for a rookie to lock down. He played very well and there will be options to get him a running mate in the first round next year.

Keanu Benton was the best of the three second-round options on the defensive line. He was the one who can play the run and develop as a pass rusher. While there weren't sacks on the stat sheet, he generated pressure and has the look of the foundation for the DL.

Darnell Washington was up and down and will never be anything more than a role player in an offense, but that's fine. When he was on, his blocking was very good. He still has to develop, but you have to love what we saw from the ground game.

Nick Herbig is an undersized pass rusher with an All-Pro work ethic. I don't know what he'll develop into, but at worst he looks like a very good pass rusher off the bench.

The only thing I would've like to have change would've been grabbing Ivan Pace Jr. late in the draft. Granted the front office did great work signing players to fill that positional need.

I get ya. But that is like saying I liked the banana split, and the extra heaping scoops of ice cream, with the extra chocolate syrup, topped off with a large cherry. But we could have used some extra sprinkles.

😁

So three starters, two top backups, a seventh rounder who made the roster out of camp and was even active for 8 games and a guy who looked like a steal but spent the whole season on IR..

Fantastic draft thus far

These guys know the difference btw GM and made up title and more cash. At his age he wants the job.

Give it to him, demote Kahn to his assistant, like it or not. Kahn is a numbers man and we can find more numbers men.

Salute the nation

The Josh Harris group will likely come hunting Andy once they clean house of Rivera and company

lol….i love the way you get your not so subtle little digs in🙂

But I’ll play.
Is it the same guy that found and hired and signed off on Canada? And then when it was so apparent that he was definitely not the answer after the first season, kept him around for 2 more years? Thus, resulting in the waste of 3 years of my football side of life? 😉😉
I could go on and on of course,as I am sure you could. For me that Canada point was unforgivable.

FWIW, I read three different articles and none even mentioned Weidl as a potential candidate. Not that it necessarily means anything, but he's at least not on the media's radar.

NOT ILB?
Not O-Line?
A lot depends on where we end up, whose left, ect.
At this juncture, it needs to be BPA.
