You must be ******* joking? Our D couldn't stop the Jags on a 3 and out all game. You go with the onside kick every time there. If Boz wouldn't have ****** it up, they wouldn't have been in FG range to start. He ****** that up, not Tomlin. Our D gave the Jags 38 ******* points today. Anyone that would seriously not do the onside kick is out of their freekin mind.

How often do we onside kick? I disagree.

Never when you have the 2 minute warning and timeouts. Give the defense another chance when they're pinned back in their own territory. When teams are expecting an onside kick there's only about a 20% chance of recovery.

I would have kicked deep. I think you have to play the percentages. Even if you do onside kick, you can't leave them in FG range from the get go.

If I showed anyone here the final score, but didn’t tell you who won or lost, to a person everyone’s response would have been WTF?!?!?

So how can you put the blame for this game on one decision with 2 minutes left. There are so many places to lay the blame. Let’s start with the poor defense on the opening drive. How about the two turnovers (and one that could have been a turnover) by Ben that resulted in 14 points?

How about our porous defense throughout? No one has mentioned the missed calls by the refs. There were at least three major misses that I remember. Yes, the decision for the on-side kick can be argued, but to place this on one play call is ridiculous.

I haven't read this entire thread, but is anyone actually putting the blame for the entire game on this decision?

A head coaches job is to put his team in the best potion to win. Tomlin made it easier for us to lose. Few thought the Jaguars would win, we forget how bad Tomlin can be.

Im ok with the onside kick call. bad kick by BOX, If he kicks it 10-15, stop them, no way a FG comes into play.

D did not show up today.

i agreed with the onside kick based on how bad the defense was today and as others have said, if Boz kicks it 10-15 yards they still have to punt if they do stop them. If the Steelers kicked it deep and did not hold them, I wonder how many people who cirtized the onside kick call would be ripping Tomlin for not doing an onside kick when the defense hadn’t stopped them all day.

It's safe to say if it wasn't for Tomlin's bonehead onside kick and Haleys stupid 4th down decisions we would've overcome all those things. Get any one of those right and the outcome is different.

That pretty much sums it up.

All it took was a couple bad no-calls but it was obvious from the get go that the refs were gonna let them play.....both sides

The onside kick was a debatable fugga but in no way a reason for the loss. Young Boz needs to do some serious practicing. That's not his first screw up after all them fancy show off u-tubes when he got hired.

The offense did their job for the most part, regardless of some serious sketchy play calling.

Yeh I'm puttin' the whole mess on sloppy defense, bad gap management, poor tackling (again-still) and a questionable game plan to stop a known running team. from nickle dimming the middle and outrunning the pursuit to the edge.whenever they damn well felt like it.

Let's reshuffle some holes on 'D' and try again next year...OK Ben ?.
