If I were in the FO, I'd try a shot in the dark via trade with the Jets.
They had Kenrick Ellis as an inactive yesterday.

He's a FA after the season. 6'4", 346, and most importantly, just 26 years old. Some health issues (back, knee).
Cam Thomas for Ellis? Maybe a low-round draft pick.

Pair him inside with McCullers. Go to a 4-3 hybrid. Tuitt - Ellis - McCullers - Heyward rotating in with Keisel and McLendon in spot duty.
Worilds, Timmons and Moats in at LB, with Spence and Debo doing spot duty until Shazier is back...then Worilds, Shazier and Timmons.
Secondary is a ******* mess. Allen and McCain are our CBs, for better or worse. Gay is a slot CB, though he could even be our best CB now. ****, that says a lot. Put Shamarko on the field with Mitchell, as those are our starting Safeties next season unless we draft someone. At this point, throw Polamalu in at any position, even though he's lost a step, teams do not go after him a lot (less than they do anyone else).

Is there a 3-4defense in the nfl right now actually getting to the qb???? Not really sure I think the outside blitzing linebacker has gone the way of the fullback.... Iron head jr and tuitt would make mighty de's ... just in case anyone is reading....

McCullers needs to be practicing with the 1's this week. Get his big *** in the game. Just going around and over him will take some effort from the opposing team. That is more than we have been able to do with the other players on the team so far.
