From today's MMQB:

“They are cheaters. I give them all the credit in the world, but one fact remains: They haven’t won a Super Bowl since they got caught.”

—Philadelphia cornerback Cary Williams, on his feelings about the New England Patriots, who were punished harshly by commissioner Roger Goodell in the “Spygate” case in 2007.

Those joint practices between the Eagles and Patriots in Foxboro in eight days should be interesting. Williams got in a fight last year when the Patriots came to Philadelphia to practice.

Pasterisks.

If you call being in collusion with one of your pals, helping to bury the evidence as quickly as possible and then pretending it was no big deal a "harsh punishment", then yes I suppose they were harshly punished.

What was this "harsh punishment" the author speaks of???

It's part of the everybody does it lie, the they don't do it any more lie, it didn't make a difference lie, all of which are spewed by the leagues media lap dogs.

This whole spy gate thing, was unbelievably down right bad, worse than cam's flare ups!!!! In reality, terrible. Imagine what was on those destroyed tapes, had to be so incriminating as to the severity of destroying them. Roger, was willing to
face all the negative, due to the destroying, pretty serious stuff. I read the article about Carrie Williams and his sound off. What I found the most interesting, was the comments at the bottom of the story. There were a lot of Pats*** fans,
commenting on how everybody did it. How minor a thing this was. How irrelevant the crime, the media blew it out of proportion. I laugh and scoff at those bean head sheep. I'd ask, if so irrelevant, why the destroying of the tapes, and why
haven't more teams been caught? If so irrelevant, many would have been doing it, yet no one else got caught. This nfl / commissioner / owners (all) / mafia / etc., are all responsible, for the demise of the game we once knew and trusted.
The fix has been in for a long time, there is just to much money involved to not be. The Rooney's may not like some of the stuff going on, but with there investment (team), are forced to go along. Once again, **** the cheaters***

Salute the nation
