Patterson Cut

well, Broderick Jones got injured today. so...

Definitely, by cutting him way earlier it would have given him time to possibly find another team before they were all filled.

It appears as he has aged out / lost a big step / slowed a lot……… last season, running in mud.

I ref some adult flag and touch football in the summer. Some of those guys look faster then Patterson. Watching him bring a kick return out was ****** painful. And I really believed they kickoff teams were targeting him to force him to return the kick. He said The Steelers released old and washed up Cordderell Patterson on his day off. Yeah they did and he shouldn't have had a day off with this team. He should have been done when last season ended. Frankly well before.
 
i'd also believe the addition of Jonnu made Cordarrelle expendable. Arthur can only love one hybrid positional player.
 
Seems like maybe his first few days of camp showed his decline......why would they even bring him to camp? Doesn't this show the lack of talent judgment?

Last year it made sense, he knew Smith's offense and was looked at as a weapon with the new kick return rules. He had a few good series. The kick return part never worked out but it was a good idea.

Yes, very well played! I liked that we took a chance on him last season and it was time to move on. I'm surprised he wasn't released earlier in the offseason.

I like the signing. . .not what they signed him for though.
 
Omar Khan is starting to develop a reputation of "Johnny come lately" with his moves to me. Maybe its just me, but It was particularly perplexing with him allowing so many quality wide receivers to get picked up by other teams last year, waiting until after the draft to trade Pickens and now this move. I guess im not understanding what they are waiting on with some of these moves (or rather lack of movement).

At anytime a player can become a hostage. Omar has no control when that happens. 🤪
 
The only thing I will say about the lack of cut earlier is I dint know if anything was saved either way. Smith obviously liked him. So maybe they thought he'd come to camp better. No harm in having a looksie. He didn't. He's gonzo.

If the rumors are true he was only offered a 4th for GP on draft day
