So, apparently one of the Wildcard Weekend games will be "exclusively" on Peacock. How much you want to bet it's the Steelers' game?
The NFL greed machine is really screwing up the entire product.

I have peacock but this streaming games is bullshit, it won't be long before you will have to have every streaming service available to watch your favorite team if they make the playoffs. I can also see the SB becoming a PPV event in the near future. probably at a cost of about 500 bucks

Have peacock as well but complete BS. Steeler games have a pretty good following nationally so if those cocks wanted that game they would pay a mint, especially if they play KC. Dallas of course is another possibility, the other networks will probably howl if they take any of the above mentioned. I'm thinking tampa game, maybe houston and Cleveland lol

and those ******** at the NFL certainly picked the KC game because of the Swifties.:mad::mad:

Peacock? Nope. I'll be listening to the game on DVE..

There's Peacock with some free content and there's Peacock plus with pay content. If this is on the plus, i think it will backfire. I refuse to pay one more cent. This will only stop when suckers quit paying for it.

Here's another question. If it's a pay service then why are there commercials?

Not surprising Peacock wants the Taylor Swift game.

Mike Tirico is on here reading the Peacock promo like it's some awesome event for the NFL and fans. Get out of here.

Yeah, that was ridiculous. Oh Boy fans, do we have a treat for you. Now you get to pay EXTRA to see your team! As a bonus, you can have your parents calling you asking you how to get the peacock. You're welcome.

As I have said numerous times on here I wont pay any extra to watch football games so the powers that be can kiss my ***. I have missed every peeecock and prime game the last two years. Pay extra for what? Guaranteed aggravation several weekends every year?

I have a really hard time setting through a game with all the commercial BS now anyways.

It's about time for me to call watching Steelers football games a career and retire as I see where this is going.

they're just waiting too see how many people watch on peacock. If it gets a big number, expect next year to have to watch games on paramount, hulu, and disney plus.

Truth is these streaming services are dying. Netflix is the only one that didn't lose money and subscribers. They will do anything to get people to log onto their service.

Fans in the local markets (Kansas City and Miami in this case) will still probably get broadcast access to the game.

At least that has been the case with the Steelers games on Amazon. I believe they were aired on WTAE.

Though I don't watch as many non-Steeler regular games as I once did, I still enjoy playoff football, but I'm not going to subscribe to a streaming service I don't care to have just to watch one ******* game. It's out of principle more than anything.

Hopefully, the viewership is terrible and the league gets the message.

You ultimately get what you pay for.

The cord-cutting cult is not looking quite as smart as it thought it was several years ago when Netflix and Hulu were pretty much the only games in town and had the rights to other company's content.

With all the media companies now maintaining exclusive streaming rights, people are having to subscribe to like a dozen different services to get any real combination of variety and quality and the costs add up.

I think at some point you're going to see just two or three big streaming providers left (maybe Netflix, Prime and Youtube) with the other major media companies contracting their content rights out again.

NFL doesn't need viewers anymore. They don't need ratings. As long as the streaming services pay them they're happy. And as long as the people keep paying for the service it will continue to get worse. The only way to stop it is for everyone to stop paying for streaming services. And that's not going to happen.
I guess I'll just lose all interest in the NFL in time. Just like I lost all interest in boxing. Yay PPV!

It probably won’t do any good, but e-mail and call the Steelers office and voice your displeasure.

I’m pretty sure the $500 price would be a huge mistake and the vast majority of the 115 million people who watch the Super Bowl would pass on it. The demand is great, but it’s not that great.
