That was some seriously underwhelming play tonight. I turned it off when the shots were like 25-5 leafs.....

It will be interesting to see what they do before the trade deadline. A bunch of teams will be dumping players for a rebuild. I'm not sure the Pens cap situation either. They have this year and at most next year for one last shot at a cup before father time wins. I'm trying to be optimistic.

These are the sweaters we wear for the Winter Classic in Boston. They are VERY COOL! They are paying homage to the Pittsburgh Ice Pirates from 1925. That team opened their NHL membership by beating the Bs in Boston. Cool stuff.

This. 100% this. They stopped playing. Gave up a 2 on 0 goal whining for a penalty. Sure, it should have been called, but it wasn’t. Cripes, these guys have been around the NHL more than 45 seconds, they should know calls are subjective at best and you have to keep playing until an actual call is made. They got jobbed for sure, but they only have themselves to blame.
They should have but player safety. Thats the response I’m awaiting by the league
It’s not so much the Pens losing. They should’ve continued playing. That’s on them for the loss.
What bothers me. Nfl included is the player safety motive they initiate but the refs are inconsistent with their whistles.
I get that the sport moves at a fast pace, but the inconsistency of the penalties is what turns fans away. Aside, it’s still an early season and the team does need to trim some players from the roster. Like Kapanen.

Agreed. Not sure how the refs miss a blatant boarding penalty then 4 men on the ice when all players are in a 10 X 10 area.
They are hesitant to call penalties in OT from what I have seen.

Listened to part of it. Sounded like it was touch and go there for awhile but had that flurry of scoring to go ahead
Josh G was on the sidelines due to an illness and Staggy filled in. IMO Staggy does a much better job as a play by play guy and describes what's happening on the ice better than Josh.
