The mental breakdowns this team has seconds after they score a goal is maddening sometimes...What did they give up, 2 in 20 some seconds the other night? How many times have we seen this the last few years?

And the loss in OT was Geno being Geno and chasing that guy around behind the net instead of going in front of it...You just can't do that when its 4 on 4....

When the Wings tied it up I said out loud “They’re gonna blow it in overtime.” I hate being right in that regard. At least they got a point.

WTH I stopped watching after the first and click on the post game to see that debacle....

I was going to post after that shitshow last night that they can beat the bad teams but still struggle to beat the good teams, but didn't....Now tonight they blow a 4 goal lead to a bad team...

At this rate they will lose to NJ, get embarrassed in the Winter Classic by Boston, and lose to Vegas playing like this.

Typical Pens inconsistency.

It's my fault. I tuned in when they were up 4-0. It was all downhill from there. I also screwed up the Canes game. I might take a break from watching hockey for awhile.

I agree. There is something not right, and it's more than just a slump.

They are old and slow. I think they are the oldest team in the league, and if not, definitely top three. This year was the year to start rebuilding, and instead they went all in with a team that hasn’t won a playoff series since the 2017-2018 season. Their problem is their inability to let go and start building with the future in mind. Barring a trade, Malkin and Letang’s contracts are going to handcuff this team for the foreseeable future. Throw Rust and Carter in there too.

Rutherford damaged the future going all in with the back to back cup wins.
That said still plenty of hockey. This team goes on winning streaks and losing streaks. They always seem to manage a playoff spot.

If they can play like last year’s playoff team. Even though they lost in round one. They played well.

Pens have no push. They controlled play for the most part, but fall apart as soon as you score on them.

Ty Smith got his feet wet. Not a good first showing but this guy is valuable. I’d keep him up.

Thought I’d throw this on here. Canada vs the USA in world juniors tonight. Semi finals. If you love hockey this is the one to watch.

Just looked it up 3:30 pacific start time. Fubo tv covers it for the States......free trial apparently.

6-2 Canada wins. Americans played a very good game,the score flattered Canada. But when it mattered the Canadians put the puck away. States in the bronze medal game tomorrow. Canada goes for gold tomorrow night. Place was just rocking.

OK Not-your-dumass, good call. The sucky thing is that it was super easy to see coming. They have a few more bad games coming, and Sully will make a few little adjustments, call a guy or two up, etc. Without Jarry and Letang we are the empty shell we are with them.

DeSmith leaves his back door open all the time. Teams know this. Kessel knows this. They needed to address the netminder situation last year, then this year, so maybe next year? Sully yelled at the team in practice the other day for having no energy or fight or whatever he called it. this has been an issue for a while.

A big cleaning out of the roster has to happen before we see much improvement, IMO.

This seems to be a constant occurrences with this organization not just this year but previous ones also..

When are we allowed to question leadership in the room?..
And I'm not talking the Head Coach..
