Agreed. Last year there would be no chance they'd be that resilient/gritty. I really like the Mongo Line of Malkin, Brazeau and Mantha. They're a force to be reckoned with.

I dont like it that Mallkn passed up that shot on the 3 on 2..maybe it started off bad by Mantha not being more aggressive but why would you pass it back off to him when he's clearly covered up??...take the shot at that point.

The guys passed up a lot of shooting opportunities.


Cool tribute to Sullivan. I wish the guy success except against us from here on out

They didn’t play bad. I would even say they carried play the 1st period.

After the Mike Sullivan tribute video showed on the jumbotron, the rags found their touch. I think that video gave Sullivan some juice.


Veteran guys lost the game to be honest. They tried doing too much ex: Karlsson to passing up shooting opportunities like yesteryears Penguins.


Overall though they are still looking promising

Ok that's good to hear. I could see where they'd press too hard to beat Sully in front of the home crowd.

Promising thing as well is they hustle on the pk. Lizotte especially.


I think they’ll be alright going forward. It will be a good learning experience for Muse and the younger guys.

Yeah. The loss was annoying, though. I'm increasing my expectations this year, to be honest.

One more factor about this game is Rusty had his first game back. He was not on top of his game. Also, we reverted to our pass first offense. It was lame.
