Did you happen to see Ned in a goalie "fight" a couple days ago? Glad we finally cleaned house with respect to our goalies

I get what you’re laying down.
Yes, I am even now warming up to it.
I still believe we could’ve got more for him when the trade went down.
Maybe, but the Pens' net is looking good since.

Love the batman jersey in your pic. If that was the throwback I would get one.

Yes, they have been playing very good hockey. I really hope they keep it rolling…

I’m with you on the Batman jerseys I love them! I still remember the first time I saw those jerseys was on a football card of Roy Jefferson that I got when I was a kid.

I also wish that they would wear those as their throwback one day..

Btw… that jersey was worn by Paul Martha..A great Yinzer and very underrated player for the Steelers and front office personnel during his career with both the Steelers and the Penguins…

And Skinner. ;)
Skinner should have tweeted "Miss me yet?" last night lol.

Edmonton looked like they had concrete skates on to start the game.

Every time the Oilers looked like they might make a run the Pens shut it down.

Shilovs made some great saves at times too.

Keep it going!

Been a while since I checked in with the Penguins discussion, but man, you have to be excited about what's going on this year!

I liked Sullivan, but sometimes a coach just runs his course, and it's time to move on. Didn't know a thing about Muse, but so far he seems to be pushing all the right buttons. First thing he did was put Malkin back on the first-unit power play, which has helped rejuvenate Geno and restore that point-per-game pace that he can still produce at age 39. The dude is a +15 in 35 games! After 50 tilts, the Pens are 19-9-7 with Malkin in the lineup, 6-5-4 without him. So happy to see my favorite NHL player playing at an elite level again. What he and Crosby are doing at their advanced ages is remarkable.

Other observations:
1) Shea has taken a huge step forward under the new staff. Leads the team at +18, just looks incredibly confident out there.
2) Karlsson is playing better, less turnovers, inspired work in both zones.
3) The Jarry trade made my day. A+ move to get his salary off the books, and Skinner needed a change in scenery. Kulak also has good speed for a big man, and appears to be a very solid 4/5 type defenseman. Jarry is a loser. Couldn't stand the guy after watching him moving around an spitting during the national anthem time and time again. Have some respect, clown.
4) The fourth line is helping drive this winning culture -- tenacious defensively, and Dewer is adding so much more offense than any other recent 4th liner I can remember. That group is solid as a rock.
5) Mantha, Brazeau, and Novak have been good additions, and Dubas may have uncovered a real gem in Chinakhov...love that Muse realized that the Russian connection with Geno could really click, and that line is just going to get better the more they play together.

Top to bottom, this a dangerous team. 4 good line combinations, and decent defensive depth. It's a whole lot of fun to be a Penguins fan right now.

This year has been the opposite of what I expected. Just like beating the Oilers the other day. It's been like 5 years since they won in Edmonton.
