Pens just don't have it going tonight...
One of those nights. They had plenty of chances and could have easily had 3-4 more goals....still kinda sloppy with too many turnovers.

After a decent 1st period, they had nothing to offer the rest of the game. They were just going through the motions. One of those nights. They had plenty of chances and could have easily had 3-4 more goals....still kinda sloppy with too many turnovers.
Malkin needs to stay out of the box.Hopefully Malkin gets going after they poked the bear

Maybe so.They're saving it for this weekend or atleast they better be
Yeah, that's going to change.Malkin needs to stay out of the box.
I agree on this post fully. They have a great foundation to build on going forward. With the loss of the salaries of one or two of the big three, we.might afford some dominant net minders and / or defense.I watched till everything came undone in the 2nd period. Didn't think they would pull another rabbit out of the hat against that team. I kinda expected one of "those games" from them anyways.
They are just not good enough on defense at times. This will be the undoing in the playoffs against good teams I am afraid.
And does anyone else think Sid is 100 percent? I don't. His line got manhandled last night.
To be fair, the lightening is an incredible team that can win it all this season. Their +/- diff of +64 is only second in the league to the Avs (+90). Teams who are solid in all phases will show your weaknesses. It doesn't help that Geno is worn down and committing stupid penalties and Sid is gimping which impacts that whole line's rhythm. As it stands right now, they would face Buffalo in the first round and they're very beatable. But after that, I don't think the old guard has enough in them to go deep into the playoffs. After a decent 1st period, they had nothing to offer the rest of the game. I agree 100%. Improved, but a ways to go. Should be fun.To be fair, the lightening is an incredible team that can win it all this season. Don't be surprised if we win a series this off season.
