Pens Hockey 2021?

That was a trip with the horn sounding about 30-40 seconds after he scored that first one while play was going on. Not sure I've ever seen that before.

It happened against us a couple seasons ago. Toronto usually reviews all close goals and will report back to the teams if a goal should be awarded
 
I seem to remember more than one Pittsburgh sports writer outright panning the move to bring in Jeff Carter, basically saying that this is Marleau 2.0 and Jeff Carter had nothing left in the tank and wouldn't provide much to the Pens in terms of skating, scoring blah blah blah. Turns out, Carter stabilized the forward group and has contributed nicely to Pens overall game. Wonder what they have to say now?

Just look at the comments that were said here. The transcripts pretty funny

Let’s hope the flyers can take at least one from the caps and the Islanders beat Boston and then Boston beat the caps. Gives Pens 1 seed

I will gladly be proven wrong if JC helps get them to the promised land or even close. He's exceeded Marleau by a wide margin, so far.

You have to admit it didn't look like he was burning up the stats sheets in LA but I'll admit I thought they could have done better and the comparison to Marley looked right on for the first couple weeks.

At this point even without the 4 goal night, I'm glad they got him. He seems to be a hard working experienced vet and stabilizing influence

I thought he was Marleau2.0 as well.
However one thing with Jeff Carter, he elevates his game in the playoffs. Lets hope the trend continues
 
He still has that young man lack of fear. No problem for him to go occupy the opposing crease and take his lumps.
 
The funny part is that I keep choosing him to be the first Pens scorer in our chats. Last night was the first time in a long time that did not choose him. That's why he did so well.

Well ****! Jarry and DeSmith to sit out tomorrow finale. Wants minor injuries to heal and they will have a decent break before playoffs.

Hoping Tanev gets on the ice and **** knows the lazy Russian needs more ice time, Matheson also skating

Maxime Lagace will get his 1st NHL start

Now I hope Sully has Legace on a very short leash. We might just take the first seed now. Boston is looking at a possibility of second place with this loss

Pens win - 2 pts

to clinch 1st - Caps lose any game regulation or OT. They would need 4 pts. Same goes with B’s who would be 6 back with 3 to play.

Hoping Flyers steal another with Caps probably pushing as the Bruins await with a lot on the line for last game of season Tuesday. Just need B’s to lose one of the last and hope the Rangers can pull off an upset.

No clue about tiebreakers?? Should be head to head first which favors Pens against everyone but B’s

Not sure who will dress behind him. Believe neither of the other 2 are playing meaning dressing. Maybe DeSmith as emergency
 
If the Pens win tomorrow, they win the division correct? If the Pens win the worst that could happen would be a tie with the Caps. The Pens would have more wins to break the tie.

Part of it is right, accept top 3 teams from each plus next 2 best records. Top 4 in each play 1v4 and 2v3

If two or more clubs are tied in points during the regular season, the standing of the clubs is determined in the following order:

  • The greater number of regulation wins.
  • The greater number of games won, excluding games won by Shootout.
  • The greater number of games won by the Club in any manner (i.e, “Total Wins”). This figure is reflected in the W column.
  • The greater number of points earned in games against each other among two or more tied clubs. For the purpose of determining standing for two or more Clubs that have not played an even number of games with one or more of the other tied Clubs, the first game played in the city that has the extra game (the “odd game”) shall not be included. When more than two Clubs are tied, the percentage of available points earned in games among each other (and not including any “odd games”) shall be used to determine standing.
