Pens Hockey 2021?

Took 20 some years for a team to win Stanley back to back.

Now Tampa is knocking on that door.
 
A must win for the Canadians coming up. I definitely think they take it at home.
 
That goal at the end of the 2nd period was killer. I hate the Habs as much as I hate the Flyers and Boston. I'm loving the series thus far
 

Fleury of Golden Knights wins Vezina Trophy as best goalie in NHL​


Marc-Andre Fleury of the Vegas Golden Knights won the Vezina Trophy voted as the best goalie in the NHL on Tuesday.

Fleury, who won the award for the first time in his 17-season NHL career, was 26-10-0 and third in the NHL in wins and shutouts (six), and third in goals-against average (1.98) and save percentage (.928) among goalies to play at least 20 games. He started the season 5-0-0 and ended with a win in each of his final nine starts.

"It's such an honor," the 36-year-old said. "Obviously I tried to still be playing right now, but I think … look at the list of guys that won this trophy. A lot of them I loved watching them and I idolized [them], watching them. It's such an honor to be among them, and I think our team had such a commitment to play the right way and to play well defensively and blocking shots and making me look better. I honestly think that for a goalie to win this, you still need a good team in front of you to help you out."

Fleury helped Vegas (40-14-2) finish second in the Honda West Division and qualify for the Stanley Cup Playoffs for a fourth straight season. The Golden Knights lost to the Montreal Canadiens in six games in the best-of-7 Stanley Cup Semifinals.

"I still love playing hockey, so it's not really work," Fleury said. "I come and try my best and try to change little things here and there, and I guess the way our team plays defense throughout the season, it's always a big help and it makes me look better. I thought I'd just come in, try my best and try to keep having fun."
 
2-0 Tampa less that 3 min in. Not a good start for Montréal

4-1 Tampa...good grief. I feel better the Pens didn't get to play Tampa. We don't have a goalie that could stop them.
 
This is hard to watch. Habs just hope to win one before getting the finals loss
 
The Habs have Price, Suzuki, and a bunch of other guys who show up here and again.
 
They did narrow it down 4-2. I stopped watching. They'll need some serious magic in period 3 to pull it out.
 
Turn out the lights, the party's over,,,. TBL is flat out a great team. Both fast and physical with an awesome goalie.
 
Well that should pretty well do this series 3-0 would seem like mission impossible to win the next 4 against Tampa.
 
Vaselevsky is the best netminder.

The league has to be pissed that the Habs made it. This is a horrible series, and there is no reason to watch on Monday.

Price carried Montreal.
They are young at most positions, so they will have a solid foundation.

Mathematically they are in it. So as a fan of hockey, just watching and hoping for more *ahem Game 7*

That was the dumbest scene I have ever witness. Just fear mongering combined with stupidity.

The crowd inhouse was more than 3500. Probably 7500-8500 from the look of it.They should have packed that place out standing room only..

This is a country that just threw a pastor in jail over nonsensical covid regulations.
 
I know people were upset the Pens lost, but after seeing the following series I think the Pens looked pretty good. NY gave TB all they could handle and TB is destroying MON. We played NY pretty tough.

Yeah the Pens did play pretty tough
 
The pens were the #1 seed and won 2 games while losing 4. Both wins were by 1 point. They lost 3 in a row and couldn't even force a game 7 because they were blasted 5-3 at home where they gave up 3 straight unanswered goals.

I don't see many bright spots for the pens. Next year the core is another year older and they still don't have a goalie. TB is miles ahead of them... heck the Isles are ahead of them as well. IMHO this team isn't going to compete for a cup any time soon unless they can do some major moves. I just don't see it.
