I don't recall that, honestly.
Also, I'm not trying to say that I was traumatized or lost sleep over this or anything. It's just a weird feeling I recall from childhood. You get exposed to a lot of weird stuff as a kid but it's really not that big of a deal. I read far worse things in romance novels my mother left laying around the house.
I hear ya one for...that cartoon was strange and his character was annoying..
I always waited for one of the boyfriends or husbands of his targets of romance come along and finally put the skunk to rest for good!
But that's just my opinion and that alone should not get him cancelled IMHO..

Well, when bugs Bunny dressed up like a female and kissed Elmer Fudd on the lips, I never thought of him as a ****, crossdresser, or a tranny... I'm confused how anyone can watch looney tunes and find any of it cringe worthy. How may times did Foghorn beat George The Dog's *** with a board? Now it's animal abuse? Shooting Daffy's bill right off of his face is gun violence? Marvin Martian is a global terrorist? Yosemite Sam is a domestic terrost? Tweety Bird is a bully?
All I have to say is THANK GOD I have all of the Original Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry Episodes on Disk. I'm sure someone is going to see 'ol Mammy yelling and Tom in Black Face and there goes that great cartoon. ***** Sake!!

As much as I LOVE Looney Tunes, I never cared for Pepe LePew. It is the same thing over and over, and none of it is funny. Kinda feel the same about Porky Pig.
All of that said, I never looked at cartoons as a commentary on societal behavior. It’s a ******* cartoon. Everyone always looking for something more than what is there to be butt hurt.
